Seems a City Councilman from a small North Carolina Town, was asked on a local live radio talk show, just what he thought of the allegations of
torture of the Iraqi prisoners.
His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience.
"If hooking up an Iraqi prisoner's balls to a car's battery cables will save one of North Carolina's and any other GI's life, then I have just three things to say,
Red is positive, Black is negative, Make sure his balls are wet."
Right ON, Brother!!!

So much for the Geneva Convention.
I can almost hear Stalin and Hitler applauding in hell.

WoW, most people get what they deserve. That includes both Stalin and Hitler. As far as the Geneva Convention is concerned, my understanding from my Navy days is the Geneva Convention applys to both sides of the ball. My contention is when one opens the ball, they have to pay the band. That includes the Iraqi prisoners.

I can almost hear Stalin and Hitler applauding in hell. WOW you amaze me.........just out of curiosity where the hell was the geneva convention when the vietnamese sent in their children with bombs attached to them to kill our GI's...........and btw you wont hear it on the news cause too many of them like kissing our presidents ass..........but check with the soldiers returning home from Iraq and see what they have to say about the Iraqies following the Geneva Convention..................
Personally sounds a lot lesser crueler to do that to a few than go with my thought and make the whole fucking country over there a glow in the dark parking spot...............by the way........rules of combat......aside.........what rules were they following when the twin towers went down...........
Thanks Shyone.........I thought it was a great story.........too bad more of our politicians dont think of our soldiers more.........

1.) This is not a story about a part-time city councilman in North Carolina. It was a story circulating originally about T. Bubba Bechtel, who was supposedly a city councilman (part-time) of Midlands Texas. In true form of the web, dubious stories get all the more dubious as they lack identifying information to verify, and then keep morphing to fit the sender and the reader.
T. Bubba was not a city councilman in Texas, and I've never found corroborating evidence anything else in the story is true either. It has all the markings of a hoax...odd name, a claim about a real city, a seemingly real city council (there are no part time city council members in Midland, TX), and then a no-name radio station, with no specific date of the interview. Sets the reader up to say "YEAH!" over something they have no evidence about, but touches an emotional button over which the reader can be easily manipulated into believing first because they WANT the content of the story to be true, and the story seems plausible enough to evoke a YEAH!
2.) One of the hardest things to make clear on the issue of torture is not whether its a nice enlightened thing to do, or is effective or any of that. The toughest issue to have people understand who want bellicose response is that whatever is good for the goose, we make good for the gander. If we torture with battery cables to the balls, then we open the door for any enemy to do the same to our folks involved in fighting US wars..."...US prisoner's balls to a car's battery cables will save one of Lebanon's and any other Palestinian's life, then we need to proceed! Where was the Geneva Convention when the US carpet-bombed Laos and Cambodia? Where was it when they thought they could 'shock and awe' Iraqis.
When we make it such that the ends justify all means, we have launched ourselves back to barbarity, and an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Course, isn't modern civilization just a costume we wear while killing each other's kids for blood sport? I mean, we don't seem to be able to stop, and we seem ready to pump each other up to do it again and again...and always...because of what they 'other' guy did. For every one of our 9/11. you can bet they have a whole slew of grievances to explain their behavior.

What amazes me the most is that a cute little simple story has brought out people just beating feet to disprove it........why the hell is is so damn important to anyone to prove that this story or any other story was by someone different than the OP said it was............like most ppl i imagine Shyguy posted something he recieved in an email..........most of us are not so anal about checking the validity of the story if its cute...............

I think it's simply amazing how some assholes go to such great lengths to bring out their RED PENCILS. Maybe they're reliving a portion of their childhood when a teacher they really didn't like used a red pencil on work they had done their very best on. OR, maybe they truely are just assholes with nothing better to do than make themselves feel good by attempting to show the masses how they can use snoops. Frankly, I don't give a fat happy rat's ass who originated this, I agree with the PRINCIPLE. And I surely couldn't care less who Agrees or Disagrees. WE ALL HAVE OPINIONS. If their self esteem is so low that they feel the need bolster it by discrediting something someone posts because of the principle, then so be it. I don't have time for such small minded people making a feeble attempt at feeding their misplaced egos. From now on, I'll just use the shitcan. I don't feel the need to argue with idiots. I was told when one argues with idiots, Folks can't tell which is the idiot. I'm Finished
