If i was redoing my bathroom I would go with soft warm tones...give it that spa look so you can be nice and relaxed when taking a long bubble bath..lots of candles and big soft fluffy towels!!

I can't help much on the decorating. With all my experience in decorating I would do something like motorcycles or fish.  But I do want to congratulate you on getting your own place.  Know it will be a lot less stress off both you and your daughter. My Mom and I live in the same house and I know how much stress it brings on.

Ewe!! why are you describing my bathroom???  Well is it bigger than Ynots use to be or around the same size?? (gives me an idea) I'm glad you got what you were wanting. My bathroom is in yellow and maroon. I am going to redo it soon just can't seem to find pale blue curtains for the bathroom window! *hint hint*

Dark colors in the bathroom can lead to a day of dulldrums. Anything bright, so when you wake up it's cheery and all.

I just did a half bathroom with light green -- a sort of asian theme
also put my bamboo plant in there ... doesn't need light ... makes a nice feeling
I also did one bathroom ... white floor mat with clear shower drape ... brown & whites for towels .. it's quite soothing..
Just find a colour or item that you like and start there .. and see what happens..

My son wanted to move in with me when Leaving his wife.. and I Told Him HELL NO!! lmfao!
I'd share my home with a woman.. butttt no way would I do it with a Man..and daymn sure not my Lazy Son!!
Ya Know, I am putting the finishing touches on my home, after a complete Remodel, and making the Decissions was the "One" Hardest/timely thing for me!!! I'm single..without any in-put at all!! lol
I Did my Bath.. (and am not completely done with it yet..) In black slate tile, and blue hinted White paint...
Ive hung 4 shelves, black, that support candles/pictures.. and Im gonna put mirriors behind them, the rest of the bath is white and Chrome.. with Porcelain Handles on all the fawcets...
I've bought white with black marble tiles to surround my tub in.. but I wanna add some black slate to it.... but I cant arrange it in my mind yet!! lol
Gosh its hard to make a persons mind up!!!  lol

My bathroom is trenchcoat khaki with all white trim. Black ruffle shower curtain, black rugs and combination of black and cinnabar towels. Pictures have black frames with a theme of a woman can be or do anything she wants..and the verse you liked framed beside them and a black (looks kinda like ) wrought iron open weave cross. Total of 8 large candles, in black w/tan and khaki and deep red ones.. Even though it has quite a bit of black it is still light and feminine.
I don't go with traditional themes that everyone else decides.. I go with what I like and is relaxing....
BTW, You know I'm doing the happy dance for you....

Hi, Dayna,
We just completely renovated our bathroom and went for a tuscan theme. We ended up painting the walls in a warm, inviting tone the color of clay flower pots with a creamy white trim. We added a dimmer switch for the lights just for effect. It really is stunning. We also used oil rubbed bronze for all the faucets and etc. which added to the effect. just for your consideration....
