As we head into the Fourth of July weekend, we prepare to celebrate the origin of our national freedom. Maybe it's a good time to think about our personal freedom. Many of the blogs I read here are rife with pain, angst, anger, loneliness, depression, fear. and desire.
Let's celebrate our freedom; the positives of our personal situation. No matter how bad things are there is a positive to be found. As that great song said, "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose". I've been there, and I've seen the light at the end of the tunnel (I just hope it ain't no train!).
For this weekend let's not dwell on despair, but let's celebrate tomorrow. A new day!
Wanna party!

I could not agree with you more. No matter how bad some of us think we have it, look to your left..then your right and see just how well you do have it.
I remember many many years ago, life was not treating us well, jobs then hubby's health...everything was falling into a hole for a short period. I was feeling completely overwhelmed when hubby says "let's take a drive". Next thing I know he has taken me to downtown Los Angeles and Skid Row.
From that moment on I no longer dwell when things go wrong because I know how much better I have it then a lot of folks and I am thankful each and every day for the opportunites this country has provided me that can be found NO WHERE else on this planet.
