I have a deck in my backyard and I like to cook burgers on the grill or sit out there and read or even drink an adult beverage. It is shaded by a tree and some times I can hear the birds singing. A Good thing!
So I bought a bird feeder for the tree and filled it with seed. Within a week I had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continous, free and easily accessible food. But then the birds statred building nests in the boards of the deck, above my chairs and grill.
Then came the POOP. It was everywhere, on my deck, chairs and grill. Then the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I was feeding them out of my own pocket.
Then more birds showed up. They sat in my backyard and deck and squawked all day demanding that I fill the birdfeeder when it got low.
After a while I could not sit on my deck. So I took the bird feeder down. In three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up the mess, got rid of the nests they had built and can now sit on my deck and not have anyone demanding their rights to a free meal.
Now, Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care and free education to anyone born in our country.
Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Our taxes went up to pay for free services: small apartments are housing 5 families, you have to wait hours to be seen in an emergency room, English as a second language teachers must be hired. I have to "press one" to talk to my bank in English. People are in the streets squawking and screaming and waving a foreign flag demanding more rights and free liberties.
Maybe our government should do what I did. Take down the bird feeder. It is the only way to get rid of the POOP or we will continue to have to clean it up forever.
