Okay, this may be a boring blog, and I know it's not one of my "bloody tampon" (Hi Luna! lol) type blogs, but I'm sure there is an interest out there with phones and cell phones, along with each service that they offer. There are a lot of tech geeks out there, so lets hear which is your preference between a landline phone and a cell phone if you had to pick only one? What about the service between caller i.d. and call waiting if you could only pick one? As for me, I'll keep my landline phone. Even though I would miss my cell phone, I would miss my landline phone more. Another reason would be that I have a shit signal here at the house with my cell phone, so unless I'm out of this area, I can't really use it. It's this way with any cell phone company whether it's AT&T (which I have), to Sprint, to Alltel. We don't have T-Mobile or Verizon. Funny thing is, we all have Verizon landline phones here, but yet they do not offer the cell phone service in this area. I don't think they're license for this area. Stupid, I know. Okay, I would pick my caller i.d. over call waiting. What about all of you?

Damn, doing stupid blogs like this tells me that I need to get back to having a life again.

You must be referring to Jeff's blog from earlier tonight. Here's some of it down below.

Fuck off losers, you don't know me and I know who a lot of you are. My Mom doesn't talk to me like that, so fuck you.

When I moved out 2 years ago this was a really big question.

I opted for no landline and a SPRINT family plan with a phone for the teenager and a phone for me, Free night minutes begin at 7 pm, so the teenager can chat non-stop on the phone. It took a few months of enforcing the rule, but now that seems to work well for us.

When I got around to figuring out my internet choices, it seemed I only had one -- Roadrunner Cable.

When I started having problems, and never ending service calls with long waits, I started to check around.

It turns out that is isn't difficult getting DSL internet without having a landline 1st. It is called "dry loop DSL" and I am happy as punch with it. It was also very satisfying to tell the cable guy to take a hike!

If it wasn't for the fact I need a landline for my house security system and for hubby's lifeline control and my FIOS highspeed I could get rid of the phone landline.

Rarely if ever do I use the home phone and rely on my cell phone for just about everything. It's as though I am paying $40 amonth as a license for the other things that use the line rather then actual phone use.

I have both. I paid nothing for the cell phone and pay by the minute and have to add five bucks of time every three months. I keep it in the car and I really don't have my own number memorized. I have it written down. I have not used it once this year.

If I had to choose, I would go with call waiting.

this may be a boring blog

I have DSL and called Verizon because it and the phone was over eighty bucks a month counting all of the taxes. After threatening to get another provider like Hughes net (satellite) and Vonage they cut the phone portion of the package down to twenty bucks a month, permanently.

Thjis is a top ten greatest blog of all time. I have AT&T for my home servie and I'm very happy with it. I have Nextel for my cell phone and in the past year (other than when I wanted to upgrade) service has been great. With Nextel I can talk to Sprint and Nextel free and plus I have walkie talkie for work. And since I wouldn't have a cell phone if I didn't need it for work, I get to write it off.

Call waiting or caller i.d.? I still haven't figured out how to use call waiting so my choice would be caller i.d.

I use my cell phone more than my landline. I got rid of my landline for a while..But I decided to put it back in so I could get a hold of my daughter. Her cell phone broke..Or rather she dropped it and I am not getting her a new one. Until I get a new one..Then she can have mine. I would rather have caller ID than call waiting. I like to know who is calling..Most of the time it is bill collector's..

I have sprint for my cell and for some reason there is one spot over where you live that when I drive through that area it won't give me service. It is only for like one block. Right near where Aaron's is at..You know where I am talking about. Other wise I get service.

I have the package deal with Road Runner..Phone, Cable, and Internet.

I would go with my cell phone. I don't use my landline phone much, I use my cell phone more. And I would prefer caller ID...that way I know who's calling and whether I want to talk to them or not.

cell phone and id... I am on the road a lot, yeah not for work LOL but I am... Really I am... and so having a phone at home is useless.. Can you all remember a time when there were no Cell Phones.. Used to leave and no one heard from you till either you got there or decided to call.. Sigh now we are all tethered to someone...
