This is really just a quick question that I have always been curious on this site. It is, I suppose, largely directed at women, since I assume from the large number of complaints by men and women (for largely opposite reasons)...
Anyway, how many women read the profile of a guy who sends them an email for the first time? I wrote my profile, and I was considering redoing (possibly shorten it up a bit), figuring it maybe a tad long for people to have the time to read the whole thing.
Also, as a favor, anyone that feels like reading through it, and give any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I, for one, liked your essay. It tells a lot about you and the kind of guy that you are. And no, I'm not turned on by "unit" pics. If I were single and not looking for a woman, I'd be interested. And yes, I get emails from guys and I read their profiles too.

Your essay is great. I like reading essays....I kinda get to know ya a little. Yes, I do read essay when I get a first time email. And if it's a one liner email, I don't read it at all. I wouldn't change the essay. I hate when someone has nothing to say at all. I want to know the other person can form sentences and is some what intelligent.

Being the curious one I am.....I decided to take a browse over your profile and everything looks to be genuine to me .....
Yes I enjoy reading essay's and viewing profile's...believe it or not they do tend to tell something about the person, even if you have to read between the lines! I especially will browse a profile if I receive an email, and sometime's reading it a few time's before I can reply. If there are pic's posted I enjoy most, because like most ppl we all have like's and dislike's....If someone does not like mine, they have the option to move to the next
I feel a man who takes the initative to write an essay may be more apt to be a conversationalist and not only have sex on the brain 24/7 ....Oh wait maybe I should have been a man.....LOL

I almost always click on the profile and read it before I even bother to read the message a guy has sent. I like longer essays myself. Gives me a better idea of what the person behind it is like. Also doesn't hurt when they get involved in the blogs and forums either. Kind of goes back to the whole idea of this being the neighborhood bar...gives people a chance to get to know the 'real' you as opposed to trying to make a good first impression (which is nice but I am referring more to the 'fake' persona types).
