I have gotten to know a few people on this site pretty well since joining...Some have become very good friends..But some times I wonder about my choice in friends... .you know like when you were young and your mom told you if you hung around with that person and they got in trouble you would be guilty by association..

Does that still hold true and does insanity count? If they are certifiable, does it wear off onto their friends? Or do you automatically get classified as a few screws loose and waiting for the men in the little white coats coming to take you away..haha...to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time....(oops, got carried away)..See why I wonder?!? I mean..Ynot?

So, let's say that I had a friend (no names mentioned) who was in the middle of BFE..which is BTW apparently somewhere in Indiana...and he was in a cornfield as the sun had gone down waiting for his son and a friend to return and pull a car...they had left him there to watch over it. It was broke down! In a cornfield! Not like it was going anywhere.. ...but he was sitting there watching it for a really long time...And we all know how the mind starts playing tricks on us after a while of just sitting watching something..Wow, that means he even pulled over .. Any cars that he did see go by seemed to be all headed the same direction at sundown..I wondered if he had ever seen Children of the Corn?
Anyways, while we were on the phone, he just happened to mention that he was afraid of the dark.. ..about 15 times . .and he had evidently seen scarey movies recently, including Deliverence, because he was a tad bit worried about someone watching him from the cornfield or the boogeyman showing up out of no where...and wondered how much protection would the rag top of the busty mobile actually be? .. Especially since it was down so he could get better reception on his cell..And since the mustang has a fiberglass front end would it make more sense to turn the car around and back out of there if anything happened.... .. Not like they don't always mysteriously just pull the wires out from under the hood some how.., but I didn't want to mention that right then...

At one point he was so convincing about the possibilities of what could happen in the middle of a cornfield, sitting there all alone after dark, that when he lost his signal and we were cut off I thought hmm, should I go ahead and go to that party or should I try to call him back just to be sure he was alright and didn't have any unexpected visitors first... He called me right back..Wow, talk about speed dial!! In the movies, at this point, they always drop the phone or can't seem to dial the right #, or that's when something happens... .but he got through. And I thought he could only 'text' 100 wpm..

So in the middle of all of this.....what is his biggest worry.. He's made his get away plan and which way was the quickest if he had to run over whatever came out of the dark corn field when he wasn't looking that direction. He was intently listening to all noises and sounds...but there was still one thing that he was quite unsettled about....
That when he gets home..IF he gets home...he is going to have to start his $1 DVD that he rented for the night All over and start from the beginning again..... lmao!!!

By this point, I had tears running down my face and was rolling with laughter. I was coughing and choking and literally ready to pee my pants. Which he told me was too much information..

So when you have friends that are this warped and you are wondering about their sanity---or lack there of--- do you appear that way to others? Are you guilty of being insane by association? And if not..Ynot?

Choose your friends wisely, you never know when laughter may be uncontrollable and you bump your head as you fall out of your chair. It can be contagious.
