Friday afternoon Kim and I ventured out to an out of state shopping mall in Huntington West Virginia. It took us almost an hour to get there, but once we did the reward was good (well, some was.... ) We spotted a Starbucks there in that city. We don't have a real Starbucks here other than the one inside Krogers. I have never had anything from Starbucks before and it was really good, and I see myself getting hooked and craving what I got Friday. We continued on to the mall there and enjoyed our drinks while we were going from shop to shop inside the mall. The mall had some really cool stores inside, and one of the shops had this gothic theme to it, and they had some key chains of a skull on it. I told Kim that Natasha (my daughter) would really like this since she was into skulls. I saw some Bengals jerseys thrown in with some Pittsburgh ones ( I hate them! ), but there's a mixture of Bengal fans and Pittsburgh fans in that state, so what can ya do? After about two hours there shopping we when out to eat in that city at a steak house. It was pretty crowded, but I did manage to see a few Ohio license plates in the parking lot. We got inside and one of the first things we saw was a guy in overalls at the buffet counter. What made it bad was he didn't have a shirt under those overalls , and it being a warm humid day up in the upper 80's, I think they should have refused him service (no shirt, no shoes, no service is how most places are). Kim had pointed that out to me after she saw him over that way picking at the food with his hairy armpits showing for the whole place to see. We ended up having a nice dinner before we headed back to Ohio. Finally got home a little after 9pm that night. Kim wants to head back over that way on her birthday so we can eat out at Olive Gardens. So guys, what would you have thought after seeing some guy dressed in overalls without a shirt on while it was a warm and humid day at the buffet counter?

Btw, has anyone heard about what about when Hillary's campaign people called one house looking for donations and the person didn't hang up like they thought they had after getting that person's recording and said to a co-worker (which the machine picked them up) they're probably thinking this call is a bill collector. Needless to say, West Virginia has an image problem.

Well, that person whom the call was placed to listened to their answering machine and I was totally upset. Hillary's campaign did apologize for what had happened.

Where are you from...? Olive Garden is a trashy semi fast food restaurant...thi is your aspiration for fine dinning? Feeding himself with hairy arm pits? You mean, he was eating and as he did you could see his hairy arm pits...correct, otherwise he would have had fingers under his arme that would be used to feed himself...what do you expect in bum fuck...and buffet?

Hmmm....guess it was a typo. lol He was at the buffet along with his hairy armpits, going through some of the food. How's that?

You have to understand that Olive Garden is a major step up from Straddle's usual dining choice (Golden Corral).

I like Olive Garden. Fuck, I'll eat at Circle K if I'm hungry.

What's unusual about a shirtless guy in coveralls?

Circle K

Never even heard of this place

Overweight guy sweating like a pig on a hot and humid day around people and food? You're kidding, right? Not good!

That was totally inappropriate for a steak house. I probably would have eaten somewhere else.

On the Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, and a few others of those franchise style restaurants... I guess one has to be Italian to appreciate real Italian. I didn't enjoy the pasta f'agioli at Olive Garden at all. Seems the chef had a hankering to mix leftover chili into it thinking no one would notice. It was gross. I never went back.

Macaroni Grill is okay. Kids love it. Any passing through Knoxville or Murfreesboro, TN shouldn't pass up Puleo's Grille, though. Their Italian dishes are authentic.

First.....Circle K is a convenience store. That was the point...it doesn't matter to most of us if we are hungry. Now if I would have shown up in a thong and a pair of flip flops to eat...that is offensive. You really do not know how offensive that would be!!! I am giving my last kudo....god I hate this...

I would have turned around and walked out after seeing that.

Olive Garden isn't so bad...a bit pricey for what they serve. I like Bennigan's.

Nah, I haven't been to Golden Corral since Kim was here.

My point exactly Gina...Olive garden is over processed food that is thrown together colorfully to the unknowing customer that percieves it to be Italian food because they were told it is Italian. many chains are based on this premiss. We live in a uneducated society. Eating what ever is quickest and not focusing on "we are what we eat"...and you wonder why they don't care what they look like when dinning out. ignorance is bliss...

Hell, if you eat any processed food at all, it's lost 60% of its nutritional value since the 50's. Most of the dairy and livestock foods are saturated with growth hormones and steroids.

Unless you grow your own food and livestock, or buy organically, you're subject to all manner of preservatives and additives.

It's people who don't educate themselves that are lucky, because these things are hard to get away from.

ehhh maybe its just me but food is food I don't care if its processed yea I know its bad for you but if you like how it tastes why not eat it I'll die happy because I ate the things I loved then die only eating what is healthy and correct for me to eat as for the guy with no shirt I don't care as long as I'm not next to him

Around here, even McDonalds has the "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy. This of course is different from my policy of "no shirt and no shoes while being serviced" policy, if you get my drift. I have to give our Olive Garden some credit as their parking lot is the only one in town that doesn't have cars with 'for sale' signs in them. They are right next door to a car dealership so perhaps that has something to do with it. I digress, at "Hee-haw's feed trough" it may be acceptable to dress down, however I think most places it better to dress up.
