Hillary won West Virginia by a landslide last night by a 67% to 33% margin. The media seems to think she has no chance and has lost already, but actually she's still in it. Should she continue, or quit right now?

She should continue. I don't think it really matters which of the two make it the election month. I don't believe either will win the Presidential Election.

Thank you for a political question that we can fight about
Ok...I lied in my e last night and went to see Uncle Bill this morning at the University of Montana field house. No problem getting in...about 1300 to see a former President. Of course there are only 2000 that live in the state...just kidding...anyway tonight on MSNBC they were just hammering Hillary. Now she won by 41% last night. That is huge and as Bill pointed out this morning...no one wins the Presidential election without carrying West Virginia. Of course the problem is that just because she carried West Virginia doesn't mean she would do it in the fall. But I do not think this is over yet and think she should go through the primaries anyway. Besides we never get any attention in Montana. I like the idea of someone letting us have a voice for a change. Especially with doof Edwards endorsing Obama today. I am voting for Hillary in our primary just to keep the shit going. I know you guys are loving this but God I hate the press telling me anything!!!!! Kudo bud!!!

Obama was here too. Guess he figures he should get on the voters good side after all the b.s. with the DNC stripping Michigan of it's delegates...and now it's looking like Michigans and Florida's delegates may be needed.

Bill said this morning and I quote him, " I never dreamed I would see the day or live long enough , to see the Republicans have a more progressive primary election than the Democrats. Just never thought I would ever see it." That is a direct quote from the beginning of his speech this morning.....

Whenever I read that someone 'really' thinks Fox is fair and balanced...I find myself wondering as an educator...WTF?

There is no objective reporting ever in any outlet...simply attempts at it. All of us carry our own place of watching and noting the world, which comes from our place of experience and socialization, our social herd. Serious journalism schools try to hammer home the methodology of journalism that helps reduce one's own perspective from dominating a story...while recognizing true neutrality is not possible.

Yet Fox News...couldn't be a more selected group of biased observation and commentary without being a state-owned (i.e., Repub Party) media outlet that is only allowed to report the party line while affirming and confirming again and again..."we are fair and balanced." White is black, evil is good, and on and on and on....

True to form, ideology is convincing the herd, through repetition, that reality is as the herd leadership says..."I am the Great and Powerful, (read Fair and Balanced) Wizard of Oz. Say it often enough, and people will repeat it and believe it, for little other reason than...they heard it enough times.

Again...this isn't arguing most reporting in major outlets isn't from reporters (not owners), who are more liberal than not. But the channels aren't weeding out ideologues to pretend they're giving the news...they hire the best and the brightest of their classes. Roger Ailes went out looking for folks who supported conservative politics to be his 'news' people. The closest thing to anything liberal would be Juan Williams, who is anything but liberal. Until Fox, conservatives in the US bemoaned media...but with Fox...its hands off, because they have a darling who will tell them that all is right in America...and we are the last bastion of goodness against an evil world. And don't forget to wear a flag pin, don a ribbon magnet on your car and fly yer flag to show how much ya love America.

As an educator...just downright disheartening. And I am unabashedly a community activist, a progressive independent who sees both parties without merit. So please, don't ask me to defend Bill or any fav target of Fox and crew. I have no heroes in the US landscape but Carl Sagan.

Well lets see....Bill Clinton...." I did not have sex with that woman..."
George Bush today: " I just don't play golf any longer because I don't want the families to see me out having fun when they have lost a son in the war."

I don't think I would have said that in public...jmo!!! Anyway great blog...I love to rattle the cage on this stuff. Oh I watch Imus in the Morning on RFD....he has everybody on from McCain ( who he loves) to Kerry. He calls Hillary "Satan".

hell yes she should continue.i think the media have written her off strictly because she's a woman.either way we all know the public vote doesn't matter it's how many delegates you can buy and obama has lots of the wrong money backing him.either way she shouldn't make it easy on him.sad thing i think in 33 yrs of voting i've never wavered from my party but i gotta admit this year i'm considering it.i refuse to vote for a man who by my standards has beliefs that go hand in hand with the very people who are trying to destroy this country and what it stands for.of course i'm just one vote but to me it's the most important one.will hilary win hell no she won't strictly because she is one woman against many closeminded men but i say fight it to the bitter end and make those men know she'll not go down quietly.

I don't care if she continues or quits...I just hope like hell she does NOT become the President of the United States! It is a well known fact that she is 20 million...thats 20 MILLION in the hole in her campaign!

Yeah, that's just what we need right now...someone who can't even manage her campaign money, end is now 20 million...thats 20 MILLION in debt!
