Apparently yesterday in my blog I struck a nerve in a few people about my comment of being at one time one of the 5 top bloggers.........Now no where did I say I was one of the BEST of bloggers or better writers..........for a matter of fact what I said was
......at one time I was among the top 5 bloggers on this site (which by no means, means I am better than anyone at writing)
When I wrote that all I meant was at one time there were a few of us that wrote more blogs than anyone else..........notice i just said wrote MORE blogs not better, not best JUST MORE!!!
Now if I offended any of you with that comment I apologize.........I guess some people like to find little things to nitpick about so they too can write blogs (no not you Swyeter..........I read yours and understand why it was written and that it was not an attack on anyone including me ) and so others can make nasty comments.
Last night after all the hoopla over one little comment........I was thinking about what exactly happened here and realized that its just the same stuff as always.........there is always going to be one or two people who take something out of a blog to make a big deal about...........usually its due to the fact that they don't like that person.........so they do everything in their power (which really isn't much, only in their own minds) to see if they can make others as miserable as they are.
Its funny but when I came to this site to blog...........Dominus was one of the top 5 bloggers...........because he wrote a lot of blogs...........Now he isn't one of the top 5 but people still enjoy his blogs when he comes here to write them......that doesn't make him the greatest writer nor does it make him a bad writer........he just doesn't write as many blogs here as he use to............that was my only point yesterday with my comment............
Yesterday I also said not everyone was going to get along.........and that is true....humans will be humans and there is always going to be some who think they are better than others.........and maybe in some ways they are........I don't know......personally I don't set around making judgments about people I don't even know.......and the ones that I don't care for are just simply people that for one reason or another I don't care for.........thats how we decide if we like people or not.........usually by our own observations and perceptions whether right or wrong.....
I have said many times I am not here for a popularity contest........and I'm not.......I am here to write blogs and have fun........the only difference I can see with me and a few others is I don't go into their blogs and pick them apart, I don't write blogs accusing them of things they didn't say or do, because basically I just stay away from them...........thats what I do when i don't like someone or their actions I usually stay away from them.........for a long time even when attacked I would stay away from them........
This can be a great site to be on..........I always enjoyed it and to a point still do.....and will continue to write blogs..........but if you are sitting there looking for a hidden agenda or something to pull out of my blog to criticize........have at it......be miserable with your own self...........cause I really don't care..........Loosing two people that I cared very dearly for in a week to death has taught me some valuable lessons...........one of them is...........if people want to be nasty they are going to be no matter what you do or say to convince them otherwise.........Life is too damn short for me to give much thought to your misery as I have had too much of my own recently to deal with…………

For the new folks, AMD used to have on the side of your home page a listing of most popular blogs in order over a time frame that worked in way I never really understood. It was arrived at through a formula involving views and comments as I recall. That area of your home page now lists the blogs most recently commented on.
Ewe_Wish and Straddlemynose were the ones that I recall being on the list the most often.

I personally dont care who blogs and what they blog about. One can chose to respond or ignore... It's that simple. People have the right to blog anything they want.... ...........................It's an open forum......................................
I just wish this matter can be put to rest for once and for all.........
Other members have no right to judge what some want to write about.
Thats my feeling.

It amazes me how some seem to be able to take a simple statement and make it read something totally different from its original intent, or worse what they want it to read. That is one reason why I included the comment in my blog about
Now when I read the original comment I “assumed” the blogger meant quantity as I do remember that at one time they passed the 400 blog count milestone. Though I did not know what was in your mind when you wrote your original it appeared obvious to me that total count was what you were referring to. Just as I thought most would understand from my blog that individuals write for different reason; some just for the joy to write, others for attention, others for ego etc, etc. HOWEVER, as a reader it does not matter to me why they write as I only read the ones that write something of interest to me and not the mundane or the self promoting, egocentrically laced drivel from one who may self-proclaim themselves “Top” or “Best” blogger may spew out.
What constitutes a “Top or Best” is something best left to the determination of the individual reader and not any artificial criteria. Because, as I attempted to explain to another individual, whatever criteria anyone could devise to attempt to make such an artificial determination would be speculative and subjective to the creator of the criteria and its standards. Therefore any quality, quantity; number of views, comments or kudos, or any other criteria therefore would not be germane to perceived outcome.
Sorry Ewe, did not mean to get on a soap box and may have gotten off topic. If my comments are not pertinent to this blog delete it as is your right as the blogger.

I don't believe that people don't change..........as life goes on you learn more things and you can change for the better or in some cases you can change for the worst........yet change is constant............
as for using names the only name I used in my blog was Dominus who when I wrote blogs before had asked his permission and he said anytime............thats the only time I normally use names...........
