Disclaimer: this blog has been inspired by but not directed towards the person who wrote the goodby blog today..........I have been thinking about this for some time and decided to write it today......
I have always been amazed by the attitude if someone left this site would die.....No one is that important.........at one time I was among the top 5 bloggers on this site (which by no means, means I am better than anyone at writing) and when I stopped..........although no surprise to me.........this site continued on. There have been some great writers on this site who have left for many reasons and yet it seems theres always someone new that comes along that takes there place.......doesn't mean they are not missed by some......but in reality pretty soon there are so many new ones......that the ones that have left have are pretty much forgotten although once in a while one of the "old timers" will bring back a name.
It is my understanding that there is quite a few people that went to an alternative site.......that happens but what I noticed is.........that no matter how many leave for a new site........they usually at some point drift back here........and the reason is....when there isn't any bullshit going on........this site is a great place to be.....it can be fun and exciting and blogland here is a great way to meet people and make new friends.........sometimes even closer than friends.
The thing about it is.......that those who usually complain about how boring the blogs are.......or about the fighting going on........usually isn't contributing too much themselves.......this isn't a popularity contest or a show of oneupmanship.....this is blogging.......a very small part of a large website.........this is a place where you can write anything you want to............your thoughts, your desires......questions you may have.........but it should be taken with the understanding that not everyone is going to get along.......there are going to be little spats.......hell here there are wars launched.........but I don't believe even in the offline world everyone gets along all the time........
Another thing that amazes me is the term troll is used so loosely.......if a person doesn't like someone than that automatically makes them a troll........just doesn't seem to be the same definition that I have always understood it to be.....
So heres a suggestion from someone who has been here more than just a few days.......if you think the blogs are boring......contribute something to it........if you don't like a blog.......ignore it.........or state your reasoning in a civil manner.......I have always maintained that everyone has a right to blog anything they want to as long as they don't violate TOS......but keep in mind there will be fighting......it goes in waves..........there will be whiners........they usually go away if you don't feed them..........and ANYONE who blogs is an attention whore.........in some form......and never think that even for a split moment there is anyone here that could leave that would cause this site to shut down......its not going to happen.......and most of the ones who wander away cause they are irritated or upset over something usually comes back.........
I have made a lot of mistakes here myself.......no one is perfect.....is striving to do better is what counts...........and like everything else in life.....this site is only going to be for you what you put into it........
This blog is just my opinion.......you don't have to agree with it........not my job to convince you to act in a certain way.........just stating how I feel.........This site doesn't need me or anyone else to control it.........and i believe most of us would be happier if people didn't think they needed to control it......thats what the moderator is there for.........

I thought our job here was all make nice and suck on each other every second!!! I was just leaving for the day but glad I saw this....makes sense although I bet this site thinks it is out of line...so I'll give you a kudo before it is deleted...heaven forbid everyone might not get along every second!!!  This is the Disneyland of sex!!!

I have been involved in social and dating sites for over 15 years going back to the old dial up BBS sites predating the Internet. Any of them that had any social interaction such as groups or forums had the conflicts, alliances (dare I say cliques), and upheaval. I recall one called the Dallas Chat Channel in the mid-nineties that had so much in fighting that the owner said “fuck it” and shut it down preferring to refund money to premium customers.
The problem is simple as is the upside. It involves people. Any time you have people, you have will see the good, the bad, and the ugly. I don’t care if it is a church, a company, or a bar. There are wonderful things about people and there are dreadful things about people. Humanity has never lived up to its potential.

What is ironic, at least to this early point, is that I am having a more peaceful experience now than I have in a very long time. Some people are here, some people are there, and a few like myself toggle back and forth. The result for me is that the people I like that have issues with one another are rarely at the same place to annoy one another and violate my space by trying to pull me into their personal problems with each other. Works for me!

One of the Main reasons for that is, simply, They get to the "new" site and suddenly find themselves in the position of being "newbies" and ranted at by the existing "cliques" for "reposting" , posting off-topic, and asking questions....you know, the same stuff they were doing here....And I also notice, when they come back, there seems to be a touch of humility in them.....Just sayin'...

No, not really, in some cases. One upside to one of the new sites is the ability to create private groups. Admission can be by invitation only. A new person can be ran by the group for a consensus on joining. The result is a smaller group, less fighting, much higher quality blog posts, few trolls, etc. Many people do not hang at the site beyond their group.
A lot of people want to be around their "friends" without being disturbed or bothered by the general public. You can't do that here.

And thank god for that...........I would find it very boring if I only hung with ppl that agreed on everything........in that kinda of site.......you would never have a difference of opinion.........therefore you would never learn anything other than what you already know................but i can see some people liking that.........in essence in MHO you have a flock of sheep always getting along and always agreeing.............but I guess maybe for those who never want to consider someone elses opinion that would work for them...............I'll pass tho........I have learned a lot from others that I don't agree with.........sometimes what I learn is that I dont want to be like them..........but there always is a lesson unless you get stagnant.

One leaves another replaces them.
People are people and unfortunately where there are people there is likely to be some sort of drama or discontent.
Best to ignore it (sometimes hard but it can be done) and just go on with your life.

As to "boring" blogs, sure sometimes they are boring "to you" but to that person (the blogger) it was important, interesting or funny.
And because we are not all alike....it will appeal to someone else.
So...get over yourself and move on to the next blog...possibly written by someone more like you.
As to alternative sites.....nothing wrong with that...I belong to or visit lots of sites ...some I am more active on than others....When the Shit gets to deep on one I just move on to the next till it's over.

You and I both know that my reference in the usage of the phrase "top bloggers" was meant that I as a few others blogged more than anyone else on here for a time..........but have your fun......it just wont be at my expense..........because I really dont care what your opinion of me is..............as they will delete you AGAIN -- what is this 3 or 4th time?--for being nasty to people............so have at it.........personally you have always rather bored me...........but at least you will have a chance again to whine about how they canceled you and you lost your blogs............

Yep..I wander back in from time to time...like you said..when there's not a whole lot of fighting etc...this IS a fun place to be.
