Listening to ZZ-Top I first heard that every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man. What do you think? Rugged blue collar or sharp white collar? I've always fancied good clothing but until recently I've always been a blue jeans sort of guy. My favorite pairs are starting to develop strings and holes, a sure sign of my preference for them. Their fading color displays brightly my fond memories. With a recent job change I've needed to upgrade my wardrobe which now contains several pairs of slacks and some great collared button up shirts. The shirt material is my favorite. It's 65% Modal 35% cotton. It certainly feel softer than cotton and looks nice.
Armed with my two styles I've taken to the streets to see if I notice a difference with the ladies. I think women need to be shown a good time before being shown a good time, unless they want to head straight for the later. Call me old fashioned. Do you still do this? How many of you head straight for the naughty? Anyway, one of the funniest differences is that taking women to dinner when I was dressed nicely was usually followed by a larger check. The first time was the most pronounced when my date headed straight for the steaks. No pussy footing around trying to guess what I would be able to afford. LOL! I wasn't about to be out-done especially when it comes to food so I chose the rib-eye.
In general it seemed that the formality of my clothing correlated to my date's apparent intimidation from the first approach to the end of the evening. Not quite what I would have expected, and not all positive. My old atire made me feel so regular, like the other 20 guys hanging around the produce isle, but things seem to go smoother then. Perhaps there's a time and place for everything. I'm not so sure it would make a difference for me. Yes, I'm a guy. Yes, most of the time I do the approaching but as I'm comfortable dressing up and down I don't think I'd have an issue with someone dressed as either to hit me up.
There is something appealing with slick clothing. A feeling of power and importance maybe. On the other side, there's a feeling of strengh and and ruggedness from jeans and a t-shirt. Both can be sexy. What are your preferences? Which one makes you wonder if you'll get the chance and which one makes you not care? For now, I think I'll go back to the blue jeans for casual fun.
