What charity do you support, and why? For me I have two of them. The first one would have to be The Humane Society. Me being an animal lover, I see so many animals needing help, this is truly one cause I believe in.

The other one would be The MS Foundation. Back in the summer of 1995 I was cutting grass and the sweat was coming down onto my face and I rubbed my eyes. The right eyes seemed to have something in it and I couldn't hardly see out of it. Me not liking doctors and hospitals I caved in and went to a doctor to check my eye out.

He started throwing out a lot of what it could be. He mentioned MS and it threw such a scare in me. He did an MRI on me and two days later it came back negative. He said that there was a 17% chance I would develope it, and 83% chance I wouldn't. He said there was some white matter on my brain to indicate that may be MS, but he didn't think I had anything to worry about. He wanted to give me steriods to get my vision back in my right eye, and I did not want that so I declined. He thought that he could no longer be my doctor then. I thought WTF, he was never really my doctor in the first place. I didn't have a problem with that then. My vision finally came back in my right eye three months later. It ended up being an inflammed optic nerve.

Ever since then when I hear MS that gets my attention since I had doone a lot of research on it thinking in those two days I may have it. That's always been in the back of my mind about maybe having MS. Back in 1997 I had some symptoms that looked like it could be MS, but I didn't want to believe it so I didn't, so I shook it off. Ever since then had no problems whatsoever. The fear it put in me though when that quack of a doctor told me that I may have it, well, I never forgot that. I learned that it also effects more women than men for some reason. More and more younger people as young as in their teens are getting MS over the past 10 years. This is cause for concern. So that is another charity I believe in.

What charity do you believe in, and why?

After just reading Nathanial's latest blog about not enough blogs are sexual on here right now, anyone want to post a comment about sex in this blog, and make it something along the lines of charity sex?

Heck yeah....I'd like to sign up to be one of the beneficiaries of that group. Anyway thanks for spelling my name right.....everybody else keeps putting an e in there....appreciate the attention to detail. But to answer the question....does the national arbor day foundation and adopt a highway and the red cross count? Maybe only the red cross counts as a charity..but anyway....

And to be totally honest, I support em mainly because i wanted something to feel good about, not because i actually believe in the causes...except the red cross....I give blood because I had a lot of car accidents in my life, and had to get blood a couple times, and the idea that someone just gave their own blood away, to help someone else, just blew me away, so I wanted to give back. Now I don't need blood so often cuz I only wreck one or 2 cars a year, and occasionally get a knife through my arm, but I still give blood.

Those that have to do with children, although I tend to contribute or volunteer more to local needs. They just tug at my heartstrings.

Charity Sex....hmmmmm....I've given that before too. While not physically pleasurable, it is satisfying in the sense of satisfying someone else.

O.K. straddle attack away.

Nah, I'm not going to attack your charities. I may not agree with some charities, but you have a right to feel how you feel, Beefy. I did ask everyone who and what they supported, and this blog is not for attackes on anyone.

when and if i donate its usually to spruce run (for abused women and rape victims), cancer research and varius other health issues. At work my office donates all of our bottles and cans, and yes that adds up fast, to a not-for-profit agency. My boss's daughter adopted the most adorable little girl from them, and it was on the list of places that was brought up when we decided to do that.

I belong to an international service sorority. So, not only to I give, I also work to raise funds for various causes. My sorority is mainly involved with St. Jude's Children's Hospital and a number of causes for children. We work to raise funds (and awareness) for causes on an international AND local level. But, we also do things for our local soldiers, Breast Cancer...the list is long. This weekend we have an event that is focusing on Camp Riley (Riley Children's Hospital). So, yeah, you can say I support a charity.
