Okay! Enough is Enough!
Yep, April 25th and we've had 8inches of snow 
Well, I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!!!! 
Nope! I have a plan 
I am going to do a Spring Ritual....yep...I found it online so you know it must be true 
I need all of you to help me....apparently the Goddess of Spring has forsaken Alaska!
I need all of your collective energies....get comfy...assume the lotus position...or whatever position you figure you can maintain for awhile 
Repeat after me......
Invocation:
Welcome spring, time of new beginnings, growth and rebirth.
Contemplation:
Hold the image of a bird building a nest in your mind; gathering, collecting, adding piece by piece, layer by layer with energy and clear intention. Weaving with her beak, pushing mud into it with her body, seeking softness for the eggs already forming within her.
Question:
What in your life do you need to bring this kind of attention and care to? What are you making room for, building toward? What will be placed in your nest for nurture?
Affirmation:
I layer my projects with cotton.
I line my life with care.

The Germanic fertility goddess Freya was similarly honored.......(yeah once again I got it of the net so it's true!)
Alright....I can feel the energies but Alaska is tough so we may have to do this a few more times.

Y'all say that now but I think we have about a foot of snow at this point.
And it's supposed to continue to snow tonight and tomorrow. Blah!!
Everyone took off their studded tires and such and folks are starting to get stuck.
Plus I swear when folks get into the "Spring" mind set they forget how to drive in snow!

Jack...this is not normal April in Alaska....usually the snow is gone...like it was last week and we are at least close to the 50's...this is ridiculous.
Not to worry ....I am moving as soon as the snow melts...around July

Sorry Zaf... but you got my snow Girlfriend!!!
We were supposed to get it on Kodiak today and i had my Whalefest Poetry event tonight and my guest poet didn't make it in because of snow in Anchorage.... we just had a baby dusting that didn't make it to the ground here. Freezing again though.....it was in the 50's ... real shorts weather a couple of days ago.
Are you deserting me leaving me the only single woman here in Alaska?????????????  WTF???

Sorry Dangerous....I can't hack it....the snow is lovely but I don't like driving in it and I really like being warm....I tried sorta....
I will visit in the summer when the days are long and the temps at least make it to the 60's
