Angel_N_Motion

It's been a hot minute since I last shared any of my poetry, so I figured I'd dig around in the vault a little and see what I could come up with in a moment's time. Here's one that I retrieved during my journey into the past. I hope you enjoy the read.

One True Love

Captivated within my mind’s eye
Are the images of dreams
That I have ached for, for so long.
True to my heart,
Yet, just out of reach
Waiting to be unleashed.
Having traveled through life aimlessly,
Looking for my place in this world,
Searching for a belonging,
Reaching out, with the hopes of a love to be returned.
Wanting nothing more
Than a glimpse of pleasure
Upon the face of that special someone,
Giving of myself until certain
That I could no longer give,
And knowing my time was well spent.
So much joy wrapped up into one being,
Brought forth by words
The realization of fate,
And our cross in existence,
Not questioning our purpose
Thankful for the heart in which the connection was made,
And loving this soul with all that I am.
A feeling of peace, for I can rest assured,
Alas, I have found my “One true love”.
