How many have already filed their taxes? I filed mine as soon as I got my W-2's back in January...
If you haven't filed...why not? Did you file an extension?
The sooner you file...the sooner you get a refund if you're entitled to one...and if you're not it will cost more money to file late if you owe.
Plus...whether you owe or not, you'll still get money back this summer...so hurry up and file!!
There are plenty of free or low cost sites to file from...I use TaxAct which allows me to itemize and I get a larger refund than if I just took a standard deduction.
So...get those taxes done!

Mine is done also. I manipulate mine on the withholding so that I pay little or get little back. I don't like getting a refund as that just translates to giving the feds an interest free loan over the course of the previous year. I don't like to pay much after filing either due to disrupting the monthly cash flow. This year, it was a $50.00 refund. I celebrated by spending it all on a tank of gas.

And REMEMBER......The money you get back this summer WILL be deducted from the amount you pay in this year.....so you may want to change your W-4 to compensate, else, you'll be paying next year.....just sayin'...

I also manipulated my withholdings during the years...have done that for several years...by claiming the max exemptions allowed. I've always gotten back more than I paid out due to the EIC and Child Care Credit...
Next year I won't be able to do that...I've already changed my exemptions to reflect as single with no dependents...but with my income I should still get a decent refund next year too.

Filed right away, yes sirree bob! I always have them take out an extra bit of cash just to make sure. One year I got really nice raise mid-year but didn't change my tax forms, and I ended up owing...fuck that! I'd rather have a little less per paycheck and over pay than to not put in a enough and have to come up with the money later.

I'm so fricken excited tax day is here and over!!! No more Saturdays, no more 60 hr weeks, no more.....well that is till next tax season!!!
I'm just happy I made it through tax season in one peice. Can you say PARTY!!!! Of course my party today will be with 2 children but hey, they were the most effected by my long hours.
