My turn I guess
And I dug in the back of my brain for what I hope are some good ones. But then again this is a very sharp group.

my Hints are a little longer, but then again I have a tendency to be wordy. I'm out of the house until early Afternoon, I'll catch up with all your answers when I get back.

Enjoy and have fun

1) In the 1954 version of Sabrina, who played the title role, Who played Linus Larrabee. Who played the same parts in the 1995 version?

2) He was born in Paris France in1834. His mother was a Creole from New Orleans. Having received his baccalauréat in 1853, he enrolled at the Faculty of Law , although he preferred to spend his time in the print room of the Louvre. From 1865 to 1870 he exhibited each year at the Paris Salon. He is best known for his painting of the opera dancers of Paris.

3) He was the son of a primordial god, Choas, and represented the personification of darkness and shadow, which filled in all the corners and crannies of the world. He wasn't the offspring of Chaos alone. He was brother of Nyx and father with her of Aether and Herema.

4) He was born in the island of Samos in ancient Greece. There is no certainty regarding the exact year when he was born, but it is believed that it was around 570 BC. He studied in Egypt around 547 BC when he was 23 years old. He stayed in Egypt for 21 years learning a variety of things including geometry from Egyptian priests. It was probably in Egypt where he learned the mathematical theorem that is now called by his name that we use today

5) He’s one of the heavyweights of classical music, generally placed in the top rank of composers along with Beethovan and Bach. Born in Salzburg, Austria in 1756, he was a child prodigy who wrote his first symphony at age 8. He then grew into a prolific composer as an adult who wrote over 600 pieces of music. He died of a mysterious fever at age 35 in 1791

6) They were one of the great rock bands of the 1960s and 1970s. Early on the group, formally known as THE DETOURS, was part of the "Mod" movement, playing R&B music in stylized tailored suits, before morphing into an unruly proto-punk band famous for smashing its instruments at the end of live performances. They performed at the Original Woodstock. One tragic thing this group is noted for was 11 fans were crushed to death on 3 December 1979 while rushing to get seats at a concert in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Their first studio album in 25 years, Endless Wire, is due for release in October of 2006.

#5 is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

#1 is Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Julia Ormond and Harrison Ford.

#2 is Edgar Degas (the painting in question is entitled "The Dance Class" and was painted in 1874).

#4 is Pythagoras, one of the greatest scientists of the ancient world.

That's the best I can do; but not bad! You just happened to hit some of my areas of interest with this quiz!

3. Erebus....son of Chaos. A section of the Underworld was named after him.
He was known as the embodiment of primordial darkness

Have also found it somewhat ironic that some people shun or fear or dislike the shadows and darkness...
But from his union with Nyx (night ) He spawned Aether (Air ) Hemera (Light ) and Eros (Love)...

So what is good...without evil...
What is love...without hate...
What is Heaven...without Hell...
What is light...without Darkness...
