Most mornings my guitar sits quitely. Today was different. I needed to hold something. There are times like these that I'm never really sure if I'm holding it or it's holding me.

Sometimes the distance seems too far.
Sometimes you might forget who you really are.
Sometimes you’d make a wish.
If you could just see a star.

Sometimes you wonder.
How did this all start?
Sometimes you give it everything in your heart.
Sometimes you’ll watch.
As it all falls apart.

You see the sun?
It still rises in the East.
And it will always set out West.
Now through the years.
I’ll try to give you my very best.
But if I should fail.
Then there’s something I want you to know.

Sometimes the price you have to pay
just seems a little steep.
Sometimes you’ll wonder how the hell you’d fall so deep.
