There are many words in the English language that have been destroyed by ignorance and stupidity.
for example the word GAY there was a time that the word referred to being happy.
Now it is a word that describes being homosexual.
or the word FAG, in England, the word fag is referred to as a cigarette.
Now once again, it is a word that describes being homosexual.
How about the word JOINT, I know it is still used as a word to describe two bones joined together,
by ligaments cartilage and muscle. or a place to be. Now, it also describes POT oops there's another word,
or a marijuana cigarette. The word HIGH this is a word that can describe an emotion, or a distance in height.
Now we come to the word ECSTASY,or EXCTASY. This word was used to describe A state of emotion so
intense that one is carried beyond rational thought and self-control, or an ecstasy of rage.
Now this word is used to describe a street drug. How many more words can you find?

You all forgot the most fucked up word of all.The dreaded N word.It should be taken out of the dictionary even though the definition is right on "an ignorant person or persons etc,etc"the word was originally coined to degrade and insult ALL people of color,not just black people.Then it was adapted as a greeting or description of a friend BY black people as a means of making it a positive instead of a negative.Now young white people use it the same way (wrongly) thinking it's cool,because they think it's okay to do so since black people do it.  It's all stupid and it will evetually lead to more racism down the line.You are black,white,red,or yellow,depending on your ancestry,but no one is a n*****r.

Well, atomic_nympho, if we wanted to go that route - "mulatto" was originally a Spanish word for "mule"...eventually it became the "name" for an entire group of people...those who are 1/2 White, 1/2 Black. Now that this has been revealed, more and more folks like me are opting for "biracial"...or "mixed".
