The Upsides of Being Sick posted 2/28/2008 5:42:15 PM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   hopon Yup..... in the last 72 hours I have joined the ranks of Americans who have been sick. .... still not feeling perfect, but at least my head is out of the bucket, and my ass out of the toilet....... So.... yup.... been feeling sorry for myself, all upset that I have had to miss work ...... when suddenly I realized.... there really was an upside to me being ill..... OK... now most of you probably think that I have a fever or something....or at the very least are wondering what to hell the upside of being sick could possibly be Here they are: 1. I saved on gas money this week, as I wasn't able to go to work! 2. I lost 4 pounds!!!!!!! 3. I got to have cuddle time with my hubby for two days that I normally wouldn't get (as he had worked the night shift, so he had to be in bed too)..... just too bad that I didn't feel well enough for other things!!! 	just getting over a viral flu myself sore throat infected ears and nasty cough happy to hear your feeling better didnt get the shitty part of the flu though knock on wood im happy i got the flu shot damn it i know alot of people are against if but beleive me being sick for a week after getting it is well worth it

	Hey Hop same here!! I'm inventing a new diet, the jell-o bullion cube diet LOL, if that's all you can eat for a week then you are guaranteed to lose weight even more if you take a laxative with it to mimic the flu symptoms! Man this stuff has been nasty this year, I know several people who have had and they got flu shots, that's why I don't even bother. Hope you feel better soon!

	Oh hon. I got what ever was going around and it lasted 3 weeks. I felt good for a couple o fdays and it came back. It SUCKS
