Seriously, I always strive to convert it to friendship, That works realistically until they get involved with an SO and the friendship is either thrown in the closet or the trash. I understand why.

End the relationship altogether? Are you talking about having one of two choices in the event that the relationship is going badly?
If I had to chose, I would go for the sex. Simply because if things don't work out there, I can communicate with others and still have a relationshp. However, if there is no sex and only communication, then we don't have a relationship, merely a friendship. Failure to obtain sex from her dictates that what we have isn't a relationship. Thus, I would be free to find sex elsewhere to establish a true relationship while she becomes the friend for whom I chat with.

It will basically come back with 'communication'. So, as I see it, either way works for me. Sex is great communication.... then again, there is bad communication too. Have you had any bad communication lately?

As others have said, communication. Without it, there's nothing else. Sex most certainly doesn't define a relationship. If that's all there is, then it's not a relationship, it's FWB.
