Sleep with me?

So, lately, I’ve noticed that the way I sleep in my bed has changed. It started around the beginning of the year but I am not really sure why.

For years, I’ve always slept on ‘my’ side of the bed. Seldom, if ever, did I migrate to the other side of my queen sized bed (I’m talking about when I am sleeping alone, which is the majority of the time). Of course, when I was having difficulty sleeping or if I was too warm, I’d kind of migrate around the bed, trying to get more comfortable. My head would be at the top of the bed (a bit scrunched down from the headboard so I could have an arm above my head without hitting it) and my feet pretty much in line with that.

Now I have noticed that I am sleeping across the bed. My head is ending up on the opposite side on the bed and my feet are staying on ‘my’ side. I see myself claiming the whole space for myself. And it has me wondering. What has brought about this change? Are there psychological reasons for doing this? I’ve always found sleep positions interesting and I am sure there is also something about how one claims their bed.

Okay, I know, it’s not making much sense and it has no real purpose other than I am, more or less, talking out loud.

Maybe its a simple thing of you just need to flip your mattress, maybe you are getting uncomfortable at night and your moving around to find a more firm spot to sleep........for me how I sleep as in whether I stay in one spot or not, has to do with what is going on in my life.....the more stress the more i move around......good thing no one sleeps with me or they wouldnt get any rest......

Makes perfect sense to me.....maybe only cause I did it for a while. I used to sleep on just 'my' side, then I started doing what you described. Went on for a couple weeks and I finally just switched sides of the bed. And strangely, I quit doing that. coincidence I dunno.. But I figure as long as no one else was there anyways, what difference does it make.

Try a bigger bed, that way your side has a greater surface area. I have a bigger bed....

You have severe psycological damage. In a prior life I was trained in ways to deal with such a problem. I just forget how. No, to be serious it's just your subconscious trying to fill the void. It sees a bed that it "wants" to be filled so this is it's way of acting out and filling the empty space. Nothing serious. For a fee I could watch you sleep for a few nights and make some recommendations. A truthful way to stop this is to video tape yourself while sleeping and watch it. Your subconscious will see the video and make the corrections. Most of the time.

Since it has been such a long time since I have had anybody share the bed with me, it is all mine. Course, I wouldn't mind...

I sleep sideways when I'm alone. I like my feet to be off the side and this is the easiest way.

Bummer part is that when someone sleeps with me I don't sleep well because I have to share. But somethings are worth it.

It's true! I've always slept on the same side of the bed...but when my stuff got here and we got everything set up...he just kinda took that side. I didn't really think anything of it...and it's never been an issue since.

Now...if I could just get him to stop stealing all the covers...

"my side of the bed" HAS turned into the entire bed!

Yea...but from what I hear...your bed is big enough to have it's own zip code!

Her bed is big...I've 'slept' in it with her....

I flip my mattress regularly. And I am comfortable...I just find myself claiming the whole bed instead of staying on 'my' side like I have always done.

could be all that dream sex we been having..........

Hmmm, maybe. It's the only sex I have been having...

Try a bigger bed, that way your side has a greater surface area. I have a bigger bed....

So, is that an offer to share?

For a fee I could watch you sleep for a few nights and make some recommendations. A truthful way to stop this is to video tape yourself while sleeping and watch it.

A fee, huh? Wonder what that would be? I'm not worried about stopping it. It's no big deal other than I noticed that for one reason or another I am doing something different and wonder why.

L4E I think you need an assistant to conduct a sleep study and since I'm not doing anything else at the moment I would like to volunteer my services.

I know just what the problem is: You are moving around the bed seeking something...someone: ME! I'm afraid that the only way you'll be able to be fully relaxed in bed again is to have me in bed with you.

Usually in the middle of the night my three year old crawls into bed with us and I wind up actually OUT of my bed and into hers. She pushes me out of my bed. Heh.

Well, she's the only girl that will ever push me out of it. So I'm good with it.

Maybe you're having a re-occurring dream where there's a sexy hot man laying next to you and you keep reaching for him.
