Hello to everyone in AMD and in Michigan. I have taken a long break form AMD due to a shift in careers. After being a perfusion tech for 20 years I made a change and entered a registered nursing program. I will have to say that it has been a good challenge of my mind and an increase in stress of a different manner. A stress that I can thrive on. I am in the top 5% of my class and things are going well this semester. As you can imagine being a man I am outnumbered. There were 60 applicants accepted out of 600 applicants for this current class. At the end of the first semester 4 people have dropped out. And the fun is just begining.....
I have had very good support from my 2 daughters and from a very special woman that I met here on AMD. We have been emailing and video calling each other when I have breaks from research papers, studying and nursing plans to write. We have a slight age difference, no robbing the cradle type of thing but it has been a very good exploration of thoughts, ideas, feelings and general fun. There is a ways to go yet and I am sure we will meet sometime soon. We are a distance apart so my college schedule and taking care of my daughters will figure into that. So that is an update for me. Graduation info coming in the future as well as other iomportant updates.
