People in general like to get together, whether in pairs, or in groups, and socialize...and honestly...wtf is wrong with that?

I remember the "good ole days", before computers and the internet when my friends and I would get together, usually on weekends, and hang out at arcades or at parks just having fun.....socializing. We were a bunch of high school kids meeting up at the arcade or park with other friends to just hang and have a good time. Fast forward now...we have computers and the world wide web.....and communities where people have met, become friends, and gather to chat, blog, etc......concept is the same as meeting at the arcade or park...just not using cars.

So....what is wrong with it? Seriously....what is so wrong about people blogging, having fun. and just sharing? I'm asking because I've noticed lately a few "research" blogs...and it just makes me wonder why the hang up with a group of people "hanging out"?

Sugar--the concept is still there, tho to be honest in many ways I think this is almost nicer (at times) than actually getting up and going somewhere........In the area I live in there isnt that much to do.........especially if you dont drink, so meeting here and spending time with friends, takes the place of that need to get out and meet somewhere......for socializing.

If you have noticed those that write those types of blogs are the ones who think they have to tell other people what they are doing wrong in their lives. No need for them to focus on their own lives they are too busy telling us what is wrong with ours. Just ignore them, i am sure when you were hanging around arcades and stuff when you were younger............you had your fair share of bullies to.......just chalk it up as one more bully that thinks that he/she is better than the rest.

Good blog............kudos for you.

All three of my thumbs way way up (I really have three thumbs don't stare)

People have the internet for other reasons anyways and with the cost of living soaring 6% last year... save gas and stuff, stay home its cheaper!

Just remember a portion of the money you save should go to my buy a midget prostitute fund!

I think those research blogs aren't talking about the same thing.......Plus we aren't in High School anymore, we are supposed to be adults who can think for ourselves without any help. I don't feel like I need to be on a "team or in a group" anymore. Did that in school, don't need it now. I'm open to many different things now, then what I was back then. Now we have lunch, brunch or get togethers with our friends, but it's not on an everyday basis or even weekly. It's whenever we have the time and money. When we were kids, we didn't need anything to get together, we just did. We didn't have the responsibilities we have now with working, raising our kids and what not.
AMD is a nice escape from everyday living for me. It's not the real world. JMHO

Sugarnspice and all things nice ( I'm sure ), I like what you had to say, and I agree with you. It's feels good hanging with friends, in a non-threatening and fun environment. I also agree with EWE_WISH, first of all because, I love women who call people sugar , and secondly, there are too many experts (trolls) ready to tell someone what is wrong, and forgetting all that may be right with someone

Thanks for writing this.

I don't feel like I need to be on a "team or in a group" anymore
I've never felt I needed to be on a team or in a group even when I "was" in school.
Don't feel I need to be now either...however I do enjoy getting together with friends and doing something or just hanging out. Whether it's on or off line.

It's not the real world. JMHO
Our humble opinions differ..I do not live my life on this site, but many people on it have moved over into my everyday offline world... Making both real worlds...

wtf is wrong with that?
I don't see anything wrong with it.....I rather enjoy it.
