I recently read an artticle online.The article stated that under a privately funded pilot program.Two schools in Fairburn, GA are paying high-schoolers struggling in math and science $8.00 per hour to attend study hall for four hours per week.Aside form the hourly wage eighth graders will get a $75.00 bonus and eleventh graders will get a $125.00 bonus if they improve their grades to a B and acheive cetain test scores.All the participants had to receive reduced price lunches and had to be underperforming in math and science as well as be in the eighth or eleventh grade.The link to the story appears below.Peace.
