It has always been my opinion.......and im only stating my opinion.....that spirtual is believing in a Higher Power whether they choose to call that Higher power God or not, that they dont necessarily go to church but believe in something that is in control of all beings. That they trust in that higher power to keep them safe and turn their will over to it. I may not be explaining it best...........but where christians believe in GOD as the one in all control...............sprirtual people believe in a higher power being in control..........and they may choose to use God as that higher power......but they go by his will not their own..........sorry thats the best way i can explain it..

Then whats "Agnostic"?
I'm just confused
Jan 23 @ 12:05AM
Well i had to look it up...................lol.............
Agnostics claim either that it is not possible to have absolute or certain knowledge of the existence or nonexistence of god or gods; or, alternatively, that while individual certainty may be possible, they personally have no knowledge. Agnosticism in both cases involves some form of skepticism. Some agnostics are termed agnostic theists since, while they do not claim to know any deity exists, they do believe (with varying degrees on skepticism) in, at least, one.
So whereas spirtual just believe without needing proof, agnostics are skeptical but that doesnt make them athiesis who dont believe in anything..........

Spirtual can also mean you follow a faith that isn't one of the listed options. In religious cirlces, there is a distinction drawn between being religious and being spiritual.
Religious means following a particular religion. Spiritual is a (sometimes vague, sometimes specific) belief in a higher power.
I think they give the option firstly for the reason I mentioned. And secondly so that people can say that spirituality is important to them without committing to a particular religion. I know, when I see Christian on somebody's profile, I wonder if this means that they were raised Christian but don't really care, are devout Christians, or where on the spectrum they fall. I, myself, don't like to talk about my beliefs so I check the no answer option.

Spiritual is an agnostic or atheist that begins praying when the airliner they are on begins its final descent to the site of a forthcoming airplane crash.
