My X wife and I are gr8 friends... which I have make comments about before in other blogs... anyways...
I'm finishing up remodeling my home and she is helping me with the final part... I gave her the money to buy....Curtains, the rods/rings that go with it, and Rugs etc.
The other day when it was snowing I realized that I didnt have but one door mat, I couldnt remember if she said she had bought one or not, so I called her! It took her a min to answer the phone... i thought she may have been busy... no other thought crossed my Mind....
....I asked her if she had bought any.. she answered... and that was all of the conversation.
Well, She told me last night at our Grand childs b-day party, That her Boy Friend was there!!!
Hell I didnt know!!!!
I told her next time dont answer the damn thing!! Hell I wouldnt!!!! lol
Anyways
What do you do... Answer..or Dont Answer?
Plus..... Have you ever ...answered the phone and Kept on with the Love making?
And the person you was on the phone with knew? lol

I was out of town with a date and my ex called. (now that she is my ex, she has this sudden respect for my opinion and is always asking my advice..... which she never took when we were married..... but I digress)
We weren't in bed..... but we were in a motel room and I answered the phone and talked to my ex for about 5 min. My date was NOT impressed.... to say the least.
So....... I may make mistakes..... but I don't make them twice. Thank god for call ID. IF I am with a date, I set my phone to vibrate so I can check it discretely to see if it's one of my kids....... or a call BEST left unanswered.

If I am at home and the phone rings while I am umm, otherwise busy, I will let the machine get it and if it's important/emergency I will answer it. If not..it'll wait.....
If they keep calling and not leaving a message I know it is important and I will answer. Or if they call my cell, I will call them back later or same rules...if they keep calling I know it is important and I will answer.... Otherwise...No.

If I was on a date I wouldn't answer it, regardless of who it is, unless it's an emergency, it's bad protocol.
Now, if I'd been dating someone for a while and we were past the inital stage and my ex called I'd answer because he only calls when its about the kids. Also, I never know if it's the kids calling or him until I answer the phone anyways.
If I don't feel comfortable answering the phone, I let it go to voicemail and then I can listen to the voice mail and determine if it's imperative to call back right away. If it's not an emergency I let it go.
Just my .02.

Let it ring ... if an emergency ... they will get a hold of you one way or another.

If I am with someone (yeah, like that'll happen) and my son's mother is calling, I am damn well going to answer it and whoever is with can kiss my butt.
My son is 4. His mother is only going to call me if it is an emergency. So, if she's calling, then it is most certainly important. If my date doesn't like it, that's fine. She can walk home.
Yes, that sounds harsh, but my son is first in everything. He's only 4.
