A co-worker is in the hospital in a coma, and is not expected to make it. Please say a prayer, light a candle and send positive thoughts for him, his wife and family.
Thanks Jeanie

Here's the latest...
He's stable, but still critical. He did regain consciousness briefly but is still on a ventilator. If he pulls thru, he'll most likely need a liver transplant and possibly both kidneys.
This was a shock to us all...he o.d'd on tylenol pm's. The reactions at work ranged from utter sorrow to utter rage...I didn't know him well, but I never would've expected this.
But just wanted to say thank you, and your thoughts and prayers are helping.

He must have been horribly depressed to do that to himself...I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs ...I just lit a candle for him.

Lost a bit of my extended family to Tylenol PM. People don't realize just how dangerous that shit is! She .. we don't think.. didn't intend to OD.. just was in a lot of pain after the birth of her daughter, stuff got damaged and so she was taking the Tylenol to not hurt... both she and her daughter died, because no one checked on them for a week. Sick sad story.
NSAIDs are not SAFE! Do not take more than the packaging says to take. Seriously.. you are taking your life into your own hands. And it's a MISERABLE way to die.

Nacho is right...Tylenol is very bad for the liver, and taken in even smaller doses (but still more than the recommended amount) can cause liver failure...especially when taken with alcohol. Other NSaids are hard on the stomach and intenstines...ibuprofen and naproxen should never be taken on an empty stomach...and NEVER taken together!
