I use to think that testosterone was the better hormone growing up, with it being the main reason for a high sex drive and aggressiveness in people. Both sexes have both hormones. Getting older I have realized that estrogen can also be more of a good thing as you get older, as well as for men. I look at estrogen as the "beauty hormone". As you know women lose a lot of their estrogen when they hit around the age of 30 and beyond, and I have heard that men actually pick up a little more estrogen when we hit around 30 and beyond (not sure if that's true, but I would like to think so), and maybe that's why men age more gracefully than women do according to a lot of people. Don't get me wrong, I like to think that I have tons of testosterone like any male would, but gaining a little more estrogen along the way isn't such a bad thing for a guy. lol With the loss of some estrogen as women age maybe that's why a lot women are hungry for sex around 30 and beyond :) Anyway, I would love to hear anyones thoughts on this.
