Hey, living up here in MN I too see it all, and yes I drive a 4x4. I hate it when the crazies try and drve like it's dry pavement, and honk and wave when I see them in the ditch. I have spent my time in ditches, but it was from dodging snowplows - the ditches are softer than those big blades! Snow is just one of those things I love, and the chilly weather doesn't really bother me at all. Must be that thick fur, or simply just crazy  and no snide comment from Ewe, well maybe a small one.

And then there's the ones with the monster 4x4's who tailgate...then pass. I'm sorry........I flashed my lights so you could get out of the way but oh no........you werent giving an inch................... 
Must be that thick fur, or simply just crazy Maybe a bit of both??

We got almost two inches of snow overnite. It got down to about 18 last night with a high of around 25 today. Tonight down around 10 degrees. But over the weekend the high temps are suppose to be up around 60 for a few days and lows mid. 40's. go figure.

was about 3 degrees this morning when i left for work......and my car just says.....''ice.'' for the temperature............like i need THAT to know it's cold?

You are sweeter than me, I figure it this way, if they drove like an idiot and it got them stuck in a ditch well, that's just natural consequences of life.
Even though I'm ready for spring maybe I shouldn't mention that the 1 day we did get snow, it was melted by 1pm.

I'm in total agreement hun! While we didn't get the snow you got, it was a lovely 6 degrees here this morning! Yep, I'm ready for spring, yesterday if possible!

Give me snow anytime to drive on instead of "ICE"!!
We got over 5 ft of snow over the 2 days before xmas.  I was snowed in until someone dug me out late on xmas day.   Then it warmed up to 38F and it was a torrential downpour for 36 hours. Needless to say my driveway became a glacier and I couldn't even stand up out there on the slight slope without sliding to the bottom on my shoes. 
Had a customer come to pick up a sewing order and he was knocking on my door again 3 minutes later after his car went sideways and slid off my driveway into the ditch. Took a backhoe to lift him out and get him down to the road.  
At least with snow ya got "TRACTION

I'm in total agreement hun! While we didn't get the snow you got, it was a lovely 6 degrees here this morning! Yep, I'm ready for spring, yesterday if possible!
wow...we get a "balmy" 4 degrees tonight. And by the weekend upper 40's to low 50's....sure would be nice if it stays that way.

I was supposed to have a nice 4-day weekend, but instead spent twelve freakin' hours on New Year's Day plowing, shoveling and salting. One of my properties got 14 inches, and cost me five hours of back-breaking work.
So, umm... Yeah. Can't wait for spring. Which, in Michigan, may not be until June.

a damn near balmy day! I think the high today was 9. Yeah the HIGH! My hands are still cold and I've been home for over an hour. Almost wish I had dishes to wash so I could warm them up. Well, I would sacrifice and settle for a pair of warm thighs (from the right person, of course  ).

To make y'all feel better, it is warmer in Anchorage Alaska than up here in balmy MN. My area is supposed to get -10 tonight. It's great when you breath and your nose freezes up I don't mind winter - you can add more layers, but in the summer you can only peel down to your skin and still be hot.

Glad I don't live where you live, sugar! We got snow overnite, about three inches. But by the time I ventured out today, the apartment parking lot was cleared and the roads were clean!

19 degrees and still no snow.... When is winter gonna get here. & wanna run my 4X4 off in a ditch & build a snow man. 
Is it still again the law to throw snowballs at the troopers?  Shucks winter ain't gonna be no fun again this year

Thanks for reminding me what I have to look forward too when I move..Only I am going to Northern MN...Same climate as MI...
What amazes me is the people here that see a snow flake and freak out. I was born and raised in MN so the snow don't bother me..Unless I have to shovel it.
