No, not that, where is your mind? Geeezzzzzzzz......
Seems like most of the time anymore when someone asks friends or family members if they want to play a game, most assume they mean on the computer, or some type of video game. Ie: PS, PS2, PS3, XBOX, WIII......you get my point.
Last night, at my daughters, a bunch of us sat and played Cranium. We had a blast. We laughed, we made fun of each other (jokingly of course), we helped each other out. Some questions we felt really smart, others.... welll, let's just not talk about those. It wasn't always pretty lol Today we had 17 of us playing it. Age 10 up to adults. Everyone had a really good time.the room was filled with laughter. Then we pulled out Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?. . Evidently on some questions......I'm not Considering my grandson is in 6th grade and my grand daughter is in 4th grade, they found that hilarious.
When is the last time you sat down and played an actual board game of some sort? What did you play? And with whom?

We always play games on the holidays and today we played "urban legend". It was great, and we learn a lot as we go along, laugh at each other and it's wonderful. It's what makes the memories so much fun.
Glad you had a great time!!

I like Break the Safe where you play as a team trying to get in, get the goods and get out without being caught by the 'security guards'.

I got "Scene It" for my birthday, but haven't opened it yet... See, usually, when people come to my house and wish to play a board game, everybody teams up to try and beat me in "Star Wars Trivial Pursuit", which is FAR more difficult than expert-level "Cranium" or even playing "Jenga" with Parkinson's patients.
Board games rule, though! I have a closet jammed full of board games; Scrabble, Simon (the original!), Risk, Chess, etc... LOVE board games!

It's called Apples to Apples. It's better with at least 5 or more... all the way up to..... we'', we had 14 I think. It's a sort of matching game with cards. The "judge" turns over a card with a definition. The other players choose the card of the 6 they have in their hand that best matches the definition. The judge goes through all the cards and selects the one he determins to be the winner. Since not every one will have a good choice, the results can be VERY funny.
