Merry Christmas to all of AMD. I have been reading a lot of Blogs from folks who claim they are alone at this wonderful time of year. Well, there is no need to be alone. There are so many charitable orginazations that could use your help today and what better way to say Merry Christmas than by giving back.

I just finished my morning shift at the local homeless shelter and believe me, we could have used a few more hands making those batches of scrambled eggs and french toast. So, take that step and reach out to others who truly need your help this time of year. All it takes is to walk in the door and say "I am here to help".

Good for you Desert... Right now I'm babysitting Ginger ....a friends cat...and wow ..what a handful...one of those cats ya gotta keep busy...I was down at Hospice helping out at the christmas dinner...

You are truly a giving person. I know how much work it is to care for your husband. I was my Dad's care giver for years, He was a quad. But you also work with the homeless. You are truly an angel.

well i'd normally be in the homeless shelters bout now serving up xmas dinner but ynot convinced me to come n visit......something bout keepin me tied up for the hollidays ........little did i know what he meant......course i know NOW ........as i'm typing with my feet......but ....it's all good anyway.......glad they had YOU (too bad there's not more like you ) to help out since i'm a bit indisposed..............merry xmas

You may not be homeless, Ynot, but you certainly were a man in need............. Besides with her there I dont have to hear about how much you wish she was.............

Yngirl....I forgot to mention you were officially excused from duty this year. I think serving up Ynot is just about all the Christmas Cheer one person can handle

And, I didn't mention helping at the shelter to get a gold star, I was hoping others would take the hint. It takes so little effort to give back. All it takes is that first step after that it's contagious.
