The other day my oldest grand daughter got her Christmas present from another Grandma in the mail. Part of that present was cash.. The night before last she asked me if we could please go shopping yesterday.She wanted to go to the mall and get her Mom something. So we worked it into our schedule and then blew the hell out of that schedule because we were having so much fun together at the mall.
Every year I let her get her mom something and I pay for it.
She found a really pretty sterling bracelet for her on sale for $20. She was absolutley dead set on the fact that she had HER money and She was paying for it. I explained that money was for her to get something for herself as her Christmas present form her other Grandma. She stood there with this determined look in her eyes, shook her head no and said this is what I want to do for my Christmas present and it's my money. So after seeing her determination and how badly she wanted to do this, I let her go ahead and pay for it.
Why am I writing this......because it just feels so good to know her heart is so full of caring about others instead of herself. She is so much like her Mommy. And I am so very proud of both of them.....
I am, for the most part, out of here for the next few days.... Probably will return sometime Wednesday evening. I'll be able to maybe grab a minute here and there later this morning. I'm going to miss alot of you....
But I couldn't leave without wishing an extrememly Joyous Christmas to Everyone of YOU......
