I'm Back.....Not that that in it's self is any great thing, ...It just feels good to be able to SAY it...
Two major life-changing things have happened to me .....
The first being that on November the 27th, at 5 p.m. EDT, I quit smoking.....2 packs a day for 47 years, and I quit "cold turkey"...no patch, no preparation, no nothing....
Now, before offering any congrats and or green thingys, read on.....
The second thing is...on November the 27th, at 5 p.m. EDT , I suffered a massive heart attack in Ft Pierce, Fla......followed by open heart surgery on November 29th at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, in Ft Pierce....and, trust me, I cannot even begin to say enough good things about those wonderful nurses and doctors there...I owe them my life, and will always be greatful for the careI received from them.
After 9 days in the hospital, I was transported to Tampa, Fla., to be with family while i gained a little strength back.
On December 14th, My oldest son arrived in Tampa from Okinawa...Been 3 years since I've seen him, so you can imagine how mant tears were shed THAT day...
Finally, on December 19th, I was allowed to travel (fly) back to Alabama, and HOME....
So, here I am, glad to be alive, and looking forward to harrassing all the bloggers..
