Today my parents and my younger brothers joined me for a present opening and dinner at my apartment for an early christmas. Most of my family lives in Oklahoma, and i will not get to see them, yes I am lonely. Even though I may be lonely i have a friend who is horribly hurt this season, her son killed himself just before Thanksgiving, while I am pinning for my family miles away, she is pining for something that she will never see again, I still have much to be thankful for this Christmas.
But at the same time we can not forget the beauty of the holidays and the reason we Celebrate. Amongst the presents and the drinking we need to remember the manger and the little boy whos birthday we are celebrating. Christmas is a time to smile and a time to reflect.
