Ok, here is my blog for today.
How do you qualify a profile (or email) here on AMD before you respond to it? For instance: I check location and if they are willing to relocate then the age range, gender, and race they are looking for then how active they are on the site (nothing over one month) then I check if they are into S&M now I'm adding a check to see if they are a friend collector (usually means they are here for chats and so on and not hook ups).
How do you qualify them? (guys and gals)

I read their profile.. if they are married if they indicate they are wealthy if they are on here 18 hours out of 24 and still at an age they should be holding down a job if they look like a drunk if they have a cock pic as their primary pic if they are too young if they don't like fishing if they live 100's miles away from me if they don't like pets if they don't like cats if they don't like girls I'm sure there is more 's I just can't remember them all.

I check to see what country they are in. Then what state. Can they type legibly, no u, r, cuz or any of that crap. Do they sound like someone I'd like to know. Are they pushy, trying to meet RIGHT NOW NOW NOW NOW!!! Then exchange a few messages.

I check to see what country they are in That's a good idea...and I want to add onto that....
Checking to see what country they are in is one thing..but pay close attention to the writing style. I mean, seriously..this is the internet...I have had a few emails from member saying they live in the States...but yet I can tell by their very broken English that it's a line of B.S.
As for qualifying.....my list is pretty much the same as Holly's.

My number one criterion for qualifying profiles, did they make me laugh with the essay answers. If yes, very likely that person is going to be tops.
I don't care if they are just looking for friends, you can never have too many friends.
I don't care if they are rich or poor, tall, short, fat, thin, beautiful, less than beautiful.. what matters is who they project themselves to be in the essay.. so I'm thinkin.. the essay is my number 1 criteria for choosing to whom to write.

As I’m not looking to hook up with anyone my criteria is going to be different than those that are. I want someone intelligent and witty and you can tell a great deal of that by the essays. If they write blogs read some of those, good judge of what they are made of. If they comment on blogs also a nice indicator of character. Like NachoBaby said you can never have too many friends!

Well since I am not looking for anyone I too have a different criteria.......First off if they just send me the usual wanna fucks...cams...ect........I just ignore them.....if they send me a somewhat intelligent email......i just explain that I am here to make friends and tell them a good way to get to know ppl are in the blogs and wish them well with their search....both cases are people who have not read my essay that clearly states unless you are writing about a blog or are just looking for friends they dont need to bother emailing me I am not interested........once in a while I change that and actually answer an email.......and guess what each time I have ended up emailing someone who just wanted to talk about sex......and I am not above discussing sex with someone but it had better be someone i know and like,,,,,,thats just who i am.......A good way to get to know me is in the blogs.....a good way for me to get to know you is in the blogs.....and then and only then is there a possibility that we are going to be friends..........

Great question. My first thing is to determine if they read my profile. Nothing is more irritating is for them to go on and on about how they read my profile and think we are a perfect match.
Then I read their profile, if they didn't put much thought into it I move on. And can I understand what they are saying?
And I read their blogs/posts because I think it tells a lot about a person as to what they write about or how they treat others.
Those are a couple at least.

Gosh, I don't have a list of criteria. Mostly, something about them has to pique my interest...be it a blog comment (usually several), their profile, something in the way they write to me...
