Tis’ the season.
Well sports fans another month come and past, December is upon us all once again. Tis time to reflect on the past year, it’s triumphs and tragedies. The dreams of tomorrow and the nightmares de jour…What was truly felt and real and what was truly felt yet only fiction? Tis’ that season.
For decades I thought that knowledge, shorter travel and communication time ,WWW were responsible for the world “shrinking”. Global thinking …Global village…Global air and resources,, Global solutions to our home planet ills, “Peace on Earth ,Goodwill to All Mankind”
Good people all over the world want to live in Peace. They want a sound roof over their heads. They would like to earn enough to feed their families, and take care of them when illness arrives. They would like their children to have a great education, In order to have a fair chance in the “game of life” ; The American” Dream” . They dream of the People, By the People, For the People. LIFE (a fair one for all) ; Liberty (try not to loose anymore, and get back some of the ones we’ve lost ); and don’t forget the Pursuit of Happiness (is everyone Happy?) Good people as well as not so good people and everyday earthlings all search for solutions to troubles that have been around for a very long time, much to long! Countries, organizations, corporations and just poor souls like ourselves who have been throwing money at troubles for as long as I can remember.. But I am hard pressed to think of a problem that has been solved, National or Global?
Everyone is working on them all very very hard, and rest assured that with a little bigger budget we will turn the corner soon . ;-) Sub-committees, Think tanks, Round table discussions, Symposiums, PAC’s Lobbyist, ect, ect & on and on.
But Tis’ the season, Peace on Earth, Good will to all mankind……Why don’t we all just make all of nest year “The season”? Global Unity to conquer Global fears ? If it was a random average year ending it would be “business as usual”,, that good old multi-national corporate holiday sprite would be in the air and on the airwaves.. But it wasn’t an average year ! Average years flow smoothly (or it seemed like they use to ), now I’m not sure if they ever will again. Maybe only when the world is at Peace, and all mankind is united under the Flag of Earth should the years flow smoothly. When will Need and Greed find a compromise solution? When will Surplus and Famine work out their differences? The times they are a changing, but not from an awakening of common sense or a need to right long overdue wrongs; but changing from fear and loss of freedoms. Not only don’t we solve small problem before they become large ones,,we think large problems to death until they get to huge to fix at all. We only seem to keep feeding the problems more money, year after year. Republicrums and Demorats, makes no difference their appetite grows every year. It would seem that our Country is so affluent that some can afford procrastination……But when you listen to Lennon’s Christmas carol it makes “one” Imagine!
Help an underdog with your vote this year,, status quo and business as usual SUCKS ! And we get to listen to them for a whole nother year.
One for all,, All for One,, and Everyman for himself !!!
As for Religion: The Ten Commandments & the Golden Rule sum it up nicely.
I don't writ for comments or kudo,,just to hear myself think!  
Hope this year ends well for everyone (even the ones who dislike me), and next year is better.

It's a beautiful sentiment m'dear. Unfortunately it's really hard for people to be altruistic when they are stuck in survival mode. And that's where we are at the end of the Piscean age.
We have become a society of total instant gratification. If we can't have it and have it NOW.. heads will roll. If we can't have our way...
