Yes I made that word up.
I met a lady about three weeks ago on my commute to town.
She's a little older than I, perhaps 15 years i'm guessing.
We have spoken many times, I have tried to let her know that
I'd love to spank her and eat her for days. (not in those words) 
She responds to all of my conversation, jokes, questions, even
a request to taste the spaghetti she told me she made one day.
she brought some in a small container and it was still steaming
hot when I opened it. Only she seems not to hear me say things
like "Let's have tea this saturday." It's weird! She will just keep
conversating like I never said it.

Was she distracted? Maybe she didn't hear? Maybe she's nervous because of the age difference?

I agree with the others. Maybe you just need to right out ask her again, making sure she isn't distracted. Sometimes you just have to be direct with someone for them to realize you are interested. But be prepared, in case she says no. Sometimes we read things wrong. Or people give off the wrong signals.

Thanks to all of you that wanted to help me out on this one.
So here is my update on this situation.
She is living with someone.
She said she heard me every time I a made an approach to her.
Says she really wanted to say yes but she could not bring herself to say no.
Says she was hoping to see where here relationship would go, that it's a good relationship and has no problems but she was looking at me and felt guilty.
Hopes we will stay friends, kissed me on the cheek and whispered that she likes to be spanked. (I joked with her about playfully spanking her butt one day )
Now is anyone else buying that? I mean aside from the little peck on the cheek and the sexy whisper, I think she just found a nice way to turn me down. Am I wrong?
