Pretty much everyone has heard about "Black Friday".. the day all the people barge into stores en-masse to scoop up great holiday bargains and allegedly ushers in the Christmas Shopping Season. But did you know that that same day is also "Don't Buy Anything Day"? Yeah.. its for those people like me who detest crowds, people running around like fools, camping out in front of stores that open at 4am in a marathon of mayhem so terrible that often police are called to bring order and shoppers are even thrown out of stores, because there are too many people in the building!
I am an avid celebrant of "Don't Buy Anything Day" I have absolutely no use for the crowds of sometimes rude people.
Now as for shopping.. today is especially fond in my heart.. it's "Cyber Monday" The term was coined a couple of years ago when online merchants realized they had a huge increase in sales activity on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Presumably from all those Black Friday shoppers who, due to crowds and other logistics, simply could not find what they were looking for! All sorts of lovely online sales and deals, shopping from the comfort of your own home, with absolutely no crowds! I actually got an early start on it Saturday night and many of my gift orders have been confirmed and will be ready to ship today or tomorrow.

You sound like me.........aint no way i am going to go on Black Friday to shop and if I have to shop now in a store...........I go early in the morning on a week day.....thats cuts down some of the crowd..........I spent time last night ordering stuff online......guess I should have waited until today LMAO

Well, I thought I was the only kumiginne! It seems like the emptier the malls are, the better it seems the sales reports are. They seem to count like the Bush regime in Iraq. If a solider is shot in the back of the head, they are not a combat injury, but if your shot in the front of the head, they are a combat injury...go figure! I guess the store stormers are the same...if they get trompuled face down they are a sidewalk injury, face up, just the wrong place, wrong time. We know we cant blame the merchant for any injuries...lawyers and such like that!!

I here smart people are getting deals on the web 3 & 4;00 AM, on black Friday morning. I would to know if anybody knows of this first hand or a friend of yours has done this?

I don't shop, as my TWIN will tell you! And if I do, I'm a bitch from hell. I loathe it, won't do it any day, unless I'm drug out by my hair!!!
So I do alot of online shopping or, will wake up at 3 am when there are no crowds and hit wally world! But thats rare!
Anyway, thats my opinion on all shopping, even black friday, or cyber monday!

I don't understand the obsession with "Black Friday"
I heard that the outlets in Wrentham were so friggin packed, that people were parking on the highway and walking to the stores. Today was the first time I'd heard of Cyber Monday...Opie and Anthony keep me well informed.

i have tried my hardest to online shop 2 day.........every friggin website is so slow or will not even pull up......to hell with high speed.........its no use........every online store is jamm packed with cyber monday shoppers....i knew i shoulda stayed in the mall where the crowds were not big
