Reading through the essays of people, and they list they are honest and looking for someone honest, descrete, blahblahblah!! How in the world can someone list honest when they are cheating on their S/O. Granted I know there are men and women here who have an open relationship with their spouse and they have agreed to this,,,,,,,but there are many more here that are here unawairs to their S/O
Now DS this has NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!! I swear, I'm just curious as to why people say that when they aren't even being honest with themselves!!
To the ones that are honest with themselves and their S/O's kudos to ya!!!

When will we learn....people don't want honesty. It sounds good, and makes for something to say in a profile, but they really don't want honesty. They want praise. They want to be adored. They want to feel good.
People want others to tell the truth, but they really don't want honesty. Honesty means that people are going to point out things about you that you don't want to hear. Honesty means that sometimes there's no filter. Honesty can be brutal.

I want honesty, even if it's brutal...ALWAYS!!! I can handle anything as long as it's the truth. But sometimes it's too difficult for others to say the truth, we'd all be better off if everyone always said the truth of the matter.

You make it sound like we all have significant others. No, I'm genuinely not in a relationship. And after enduring the crap, drama, and manipulation from the last girlfriend, I'm not sure I want to get involved in anything as seriously as a committed relationship ever again

some ppl in relationships are ok with open relationships,others are not.
when ppl are cheating on their S/O they are only being stupid to themselves.
in some cases,ppl say they are single instead of in a relationship cos if they are taken no-one bothers even talking to them half the time
or are afraid their spouses are going to give them a hard time.

I hate cheaters with a red passion. I see red when I think of cheating. I maen someone is giving you their fucking heart and you should be grateful and love them back.
Is it not better to break it by leaving them than to cheat on them and live a damned lie. Which is it.
If you are having issues in your relationship that you know you need out sit down be a man or woman and be straight forward don't beat the bush.
Honey I am very blunt and honest. True friendships, relationships, acquaitanceships are built on honesty and character. Period end.

Let me just say,,,,,,,,,hintoftuna I definitely did NOT say EVERYONE!! Never did I say that and I certainly don't want to give that impression either, I do know there are people here that would not dream of cheating.
And Matt thank you, I feel the exact same way. I can't understand either why someone would not just break things up with their girlfriend/wife first before they thought about cheating on them. To me that is the ultimate pain someone could do to someone they supposedly love(d). It's so humiliating to have that done to you, and to have others know.......certainly not something I would want done to me, nor could I ever see me doing that to anyone either.

I've heard that old story before, I'm in an open relationship with my wife.
The wife get's real up set when she finds out she's in an open relationship, she knew nothing about.
In the past I've had to change my phone number because of an angry wife who didn't know she was in an open relationship.. 
I was amused when she didn't blame him or herself for the lack of communication and other things lacking in their marriage. 
I think true open marriages, are arrangments when the third party meets both husband and wife. The majority of people who say they have an understanding, in their marriage It's a one sided one...
Honesty is a word that looks good on a profile, It's like window dressing, and that's as far as it goes.
