For those who do not celebrate Thanksgiving because they have something against the Pilgrims or any connection to religion....you are included in this blog, as well.

For those that will be celebrating Thanksgiving this week, I hope you will take some time to check out this blog and post a response.

In this country of bountiful blessings and much to do, learn, and enjoy.....what are you thankful for this holiday season, or, just this year in general????

I know the blogs are normally for self-aggrandizing, but, go with for a moment and think about what YOU are thankful for....I know that we live in a nation with a divided government, clashing opinions on the war, over-priced gasoline and other products, and the sense of a growing apathy towards values and ideals. Your beliefs on any of the aforementioned topics can be left for later discussion.

Just wondering.....when you take the time to think about it....what makes you happy and gives you comfort that you have in your life??? Could be an object, a person, a place,etc.

I am hoping that if we speak out on what we are thankful for....we may find we have more in common that we have differences. Jus' a thought.....

There are so many things I am thankful for that if I started listing them right now i would still be writing things after Thanksgiving is over..........but one of the things that is most dearest to my heart is my two year old granddaughter......who just today stole mommys cell phone to call nana............she understands speed dial.........

There are so many things I'm thankful for, like Dayna, it would take me days. The most I'm thankful for I think are my family and dear friends, like you peeps here.

The thing I am most thankful for this year is my youngest daughter and I have patched thing up. We have been on the outs for 5 years and it is wonderful getting close again.
I am thankful to be alive and doing great. I am thankful for all the people I love and love me back.

I'm thankful to be going home for the holiday! I haven't been there in three years now, so it's long overdue! I'll miss my son as he can't go with me, but it will be good to see the rest of my family this weekend!

Other people are covering the Big Things, and I agree with most of them.

But I can't forget the "small" things ....

• My dentist. He did it again today. He is not just a great dentist,
but he is a great dentist because he is a terrific person.
He always goes above and beyond the call of duty.
He remembers who I am. He is totally competent and thorough.
He makes me feel safe.

• Prescription medication refill computers at my drug stores ....
They know who I am, what I need and when it will be ready for pickup.
No running all over the place for little pieces of paper to replace the ones that got lost.
They even know what I should NOT do.
And the alarm bells go off if anyone accidentally orders something I shouldn't take.
How can you love a drug store? Easily.

It is so easy in this world to forget that you have blessings each and everyday..... in a world that is a gimmee kind of place it is sometimes hard to sit back and just be thankful for what the Lord has provided..... with that being said, I am thankful for......

my family, my health, my career, my freedom...... and I am sure there is a whole lot more!

I'm thankful for another day. I'm also thankful for my family, my pets, (even when my dogs drive me insane! ). I'm also thankful for the wonderful friends I've made throughout life.

While I may not be a millionaire...I'm wealthy in so many other ways...and I'm thankful for each and every one.
