I figure folks that use that button on select people have already figured out your opinions only invoke ill feelings. Why is it important that you be able to comment on everybody's blog anyway? Sometimes people come here to just make a statement,opinions are not always needed. Listening is a wonderful gift.

Most people that get blocked did something to lead to it. I am on a few block lists I am sure, probably more than a few. A few people are on my block list also. I am cool with all of that.
It is like a neighborhood bar. If you act up, you get thrown out. There are these well known signs...we reserve the right to refuse service to anybody. There ya go!.
Being allowed to comment is not a right or entitlement, it is a privilage. There are some folks that do not want to hear what I have to say and vice versa. Again, I am cool with all of that, particularly if it reduces the venomous fire fights.

To not listen to other opions is like cutting off your ears,. You will only hear yourself.
Perhaps some one else has a different view from where you are, and by hearing them (reading thier comments) you may see why you may have over looked something or see more reason(s) to feel as you do.
Communication & dialogue are very import, even if you don't. like what the other person is saying. You may convience them to change.

In rebuttal to patrick2369, there are very few people that I know of that disallow comments on opposing views. I certainly don't block anyone for that or delete comments.
Going back to the neighborhood bar analogy, you don't get thrown out for disagreeing. You get thrown out for rude, offensive, unacceptable behavior.

If I act up in someones blog I fully expect them to call me down , so when I see "you are not allowed to comment" So the folks facing that very phrase in most cases mind you , you know exactly what you did to get the response.
