It's Saturday afternoon. We got up at 0630 to take care of some pet sitting we're doing for a friend. She went back to bed. I stacked firewood. Then I took down the gazebo on the deck while she made me breakfast. We putzed around with some last minute fall chores together. OK, time for a break. Sat on the couch reading the newspaper. She came in, started kissing and fondling...off we went to bed. Nothing mind blowing. No screaming and grabbing the bed posts. No writhing and tossing. No whips, no cuffs. Just gentle, relaxed, sharing of love in a slow and lazy and loving way. And there I lay, holding her, in the afterglow when I realized what a very lucky guy I am to have a woman who loves me more than I deserve, who is open and honest with me about everything, who takes good care of me even when I don't want her to, and who is not only the best lover I have ever had, but my best friend!!! And, folks, I was married for almost 40 years. I've had my share of women before and since. Haven't missed much in the past few years. But, I'm here to tell you that sex at 65 is as good or better than it ever was, despite the warts, sags, and wrinkles. And, yes, love IS better the second time around!!!!!
