Thanksgiving is coming up and you know what that means....time to pig out on all the great food!!! Mmmmm.....those chocolate pies my grandma makes are so damn good, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Of course there's turkey and dressing. Can't for the rolls too. And then there's all the other great foods on the table. What are your plans for Thanksgiving, and what are you having for dinner? As for where I will be having it and with who, it will be at my grandma's like every year. Should be me, my mom, grandma, my two aunts and their husbands, my three cousins with one of them with a husband and kid. Not sure about my sister and her family yet. I'm also not sure if Kim and her son will show up, I want them too but Kim isn't too high on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm going to get her to cum...errr...I mean come, I'm sure she will. Also not sure if Tash will show up, we'll see. Lets hear your plans and what food you love every year on this holiday!

Oh L4E Snickers Salad is the easiest thing to make.........has to me or I wouldnt make it..............

Take a bag of mini snickers bars and cut up in cubes
Take 4 large red apples and cup those in bite size pieces
Take a large bowl of whipped topping (i use cool whip)
and mix it together and keep it cold..........taste like caramel apples.

If you have kids at dinner they just love it.

Told you it was easy LMAO

Um, that does sound good...but my kids wouldn't eat it because there are nuts in it...too bad for them!

I usually spend Thanksgiving with friends. All holiday meals there, I am expected to bring the same thing...creamed corn made from scratch; my sinfully rich, artery clogging, superlicious mashed potatoes and homemade sweet white bread.

We have a variety of thing but there are a few things that never change...the items I bring, the turkey, this fab cranberry-orange relish my friend makes and sweet potato fluff. The relish, fluff & bread are so good that my friend and I would be content to just have those! Oh, yeah, and her mom always makes scrumptious pecan pie...gotta have that too.

The best part of the day is when dinner is over and cleaned up, we all sit around the huge dining table and play card or board games...and enjoy our pie or left overs.

Ok Ewe, is the whipped cream really supposed to be for the salad???

Since I have the girls this year for Thanksgiving, we will probably spend it at the farm. Ya know the usual probably - Turkey, mased and sweet potatoes, a couple different veggies and of course the cranberries. I am going to bring a Cranberry Cobbler, since it doesn't have to be kept warm for the 4 hour trip.

I am not sure if I work my one job that day As for the other job I am off because we are closed. But since it is just me and my daughter we go to the Golden Correl. Let them cook and clean the mess up. It would be a waste of money and time for me to cook.

As usual I got invited to have dinner with son-in-law, daughter and grand children. (at son-in-laws parents house this year.) Don't really think I'm going this year though. We'll see when it gets here.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love to cook on that day until there is just no room to fit any more food anywhere usually.

Not positive, but I think G and my son and I are driving down to North Carolina for Thanksgiving this year. It will be G's first (but not last, as I intend to do it every year over in the UK).

As far as food goes, have to have the bird, the stuffing, mashed taters (no sweet potatoes ) green bean casserole, fresh rolls, cranberry sauce, hot buttery corn, gravy and something my family calls "sleepy sauce" which is basically garlic gravy, made with drippings from the turkey and garlic, it's kinda thin in consistancy, but we adore garlic, and it makes us feel sleepy, hence the name. Then there are the pies... apple, mincemeat, pumpkin, and whatever else my sister the pastry queen is motivated to make. Fresh whipped cream, no cool whip for us, LOL. There are usually 4-10 other "sides" but they vary from year to year, depending on what is being experimented with and what recipes catch our eye. My family loves to cook, we all read cookbooks like novels!

Gawd I am hungry now!!!

Always go to my Mom's house for Thanksgiving. We have the Bird, with plain dressing and oyster dressing, mashed and sweet potatoes, homemade noodles, fresh rolls, green bean casserole, homemade cranberry relish and sauce for it, coleslaw with apples, grapes and walnuts added. Oh and of course PIE! My sister in law and I go shopping before and after dinner, then she spends the night with me and we get up at 2:30 AM and hit the Stores Friday Morning!!!!
