Ok guys and gals, another honest question needed answering here!! Life changes so much and very often. Peoples views, and opinons change all the time.
My question is in regards to relationship and emotions. Compared to when I was a child, things seem to have changed. I know when my dad was growing up, tears were just a sign of weakness - and you "aren"t a real man if you cry!" I personally dont agree with this. I like a man who can show at least some emotion, and sensitivity. Dont get me wrong, I dont like a cry baby, who is crying every second day, but I do like someone who is tender, and shows emotions in appropriate times.
Ok - How do you all feel about emotions, and sensitivity?
Guys - where do you stand on a woman who has regular emotions, or is overly sensitive?
Ladies - do you want a man who NEVER cries (macho and manly) or someone who has appropriate timing for emotions, or that last one, who cries at the drop of a pin!!!
Any and all comments would be welcome!! If not, have a great night everyone!!!

I am feeling that lots of men are scared to feel! I like men to show their emotions! I want to know what is going on............I can be honest about any and all things...........and I'd like for a man to do the same with me..........I do not mind tears, they aren't a sign of weakness, they are a sign of humanity..........

I really appreciate a guy who can show his true feelings and not try to act macho all the time (that is such a HUGE turnoff), but I don't want someone who wears their heart on their sleeve either, which tends to keep people walking on eggshells around them.
Save the drama for your mamma, fellas.

I don't mind if a guy shows some emotion. I don't mind if he doesn't. It's what is comfortable for him.
But I do have emotions and I tend to show them- I cry when I get mad! So I DO NOT want a guy who will say that me showing my emotion is DRAMA! I'm so sick of hearing that word!

I believe that showing your feelings and emotions only proves your human. I think more people Both Men and Women should openly do it. It does not make you less of a man to show you care about things and have a Heart.

I want it all, I want him manly, strong, fierce when needed... yet I want him to be open about his feelings and comfortable enough to cry when he needs to. Is that too much to ask? I don't think so, and I'm pretty sure I found that perfect mix for me!

I have cried many times alone and in public. I have lost much in life; and the toll will wear a man down. A man that does not cry is not in touch with reality; and one who does is one who knows how to release emotional pain.

When a man cries; He is showing his weakness to anyone who sees. There is nothing wrong with showing that kind of weakness provided that: The person that he shows that weakness to loves him. He has to trust that this person isn't going to take advantage of him. A man should be able to cry however; He WILL be the subject of all the other alpha males. It's humiliation at it's finest when the man that is attacked and damaged by other alpha males especially in the presence of the opposite sex. Then the only thing that can save him is compassion. In that situation compassion doesn't exist or has little value which results in this man being reduced to a pile of dirt. There is another note: A man should be able to express certain emotions around other people provided that: He is in full control of his emotions and will and is capable of hurting/stopping an attacker at the drop of a hat. If you are being shot at or your life is being treatened in any way; Crying will NOT save you. Crying could very well end up being the reason that you lose your life.
The moral of this story is: Cry by yourself or cry only when you have full and complete trust for the person that sees or hears you crying. Otherwise; You're showing the whole world that you have no control of yourself at that very given moment!
Good subject.

I want a man who cries when he feels like crying, and allows me to hold him when he does. Whether it be over a sad movie, a death, or a childs wedding...........if he feels like it..........its right to do!

Loveable I agree with NightOfOld there is nothing wrong with being human. I am sensitive and openly show emotions. I wouldn't change a thing, I can stand my ground when the time arrives and cry when the need arises.

Emotions are good to show with your lover, but as far as crying over anything and everything, no, I wouldn't like that overly sensitive in people. I'm not afraid to show my emotions, but at the same time I'm guarded with them.
