I was reminded a little while ago about Lt. Michael Murphy who yesterday was awarded the Medal Of Honor posthumously. Lt. Murphy and three other Navy SEALs were searching for terrorist when their mission was comprimised. A fight with over 50 Taliban fighters ensued. Lt. Murphy moved out into the open to get a better radio signal, and still after being shot in the back completed the transmission.
He and his team continued to fight back even though strongly outnumbered killing over 35 of the resistance. After a two hour firefight Murphy and two of his team were dead the only surviving member of the team was Lt Marcus Luttrell. He was later rescued from a local village. Lt Murphy wore a New York Firefighter's patch on his uniform for those fallen of 911. Lt Murphy could have been anything in life he choose to be a HERO.
I salute you once again" Murph" worthy of the trident you wore.
I shared this next part with LBS yesterday
Fred Rogers of Mr. Rogers was a former Navy SEAL with 22 confirmed kills under his belt. He wore sweaters to hide his Tattoo's...... Sometimes you just never know.

I'd like to offer my own personal salute to Lt. Murphy as he is a true American Hero!
As for our conversation yesterday........prime example of why people shouldn't judge or disregard someone based upon their appearance!
Shiny green thingy to you for this one!

Not to argue with you sweetie, but according to snopes.com Mr. Rogers Military career is indeed a hoax. He didnt have any time in his career to be in the military and they story of his being in vietnam with as a Navy Seal sniper, he was born in 1928 he was to old to serve in the Vietnam War.

Ok Fine! So Rogers wasn't a big war hero! He buttoned up a mean sweater tho!! I still stand behind my salute to Murphy.
