Over the years I have found they have temper tantrums. Every time I go someplace for a while...my gog will get just one thing of mine and chew it up, to get even. When I stay home they are as good as gold.

Over the years I have found they have temper tantrums. Every time I go someplace for a while...my gog will get just one thing of mine and chew it up, to get even. When I stay home they are as good as gold. I know they're throwing the occasional tantrum..but thankfully they haven't chewed something of mine.
And yes, when I'm home..they behave. Brats! Gotta love em.

Mine out grew all of the bad behavior thankfully though they tore up the house and furniture as pups and youths. Best way toi keep them out of the kitty litter box is to get rid of kitty. Some how, I feel that the cat stayed under the bed all day, and wisely so!.

I've always crate trained my dogs and it works wonderfully......if it is not used to excess....in other words if you don't leave your dog in in 23 out of 24hr a day....and there ARE people on here who would think that is OK....they use the pound for animal dumping grounds, too. IF I lived closer I'd come and get your dogs crate trained in a week. It's not hard at all! Most PetSmarts or Pet Cos have classes in crating. they aren't expensive....the crates or the classes. I have seen books and articles on the internet too. Your doggums are just bored kids....and when Mom's away....they are gonna PLAY~~in their goofy doggums (or horseums) ways.

Yeah, my Molly dog has a trash issue, so when we are not at home they are in their wire kennel. It's got blankets and stuff over it to make a dark and 'safe' cave for them. they actually get excited now when you say kennel. Mostly because they get a doggie treat when you put them in I think.. but anyway.. yeah, as long as you aren't using it to keep the animals in all the time, and do pay attention to them when you are home they don't mind being kenneled or crated. it's a safety thing for them.
