Leaving all the doubts behind, leaving my all past behind, fighting against all odds, I was coming to you, your city, your air, your land, your warmth, your smile. The season dressed up to you, for you, for us. Long journey in the train, I fought with my restless moments in the clutching compartment. Why does the damn train moves so slowly…minutes of anguish expanded to hour, hour to the sleepless night, the monotone of the moving wheels felt so repulsive. Would I meet you again? Would it be the same again? Would my dreams touch the frontiers of realism, you exist, flesh and blood?

Touchdown. I cautiously stepped on your soil; my feet trembled for a moment. Where was I? Really there? My vision would betray, my senses would deny. For just the thought of seeing you, being with you, has taken me there. Wanted to know where the reverie ends and life begins. . The Two Moon Junction was approaching. I could feel sudden surge of adrenalin in my bloodstream.

Reincarnation. The moment of truth…. My heart missed a beat. It was you. Dazzling and sparkling in the crowd, like a diamond in the dust. Right in front of me. Freeze frame! The trance swept me off, my world went to raptures. I take out that frozen memory out of the shelf today.

I held your hand the last time at the station, you said the thought of future scares you; we would meet again, very soon. Wish your words were true; they were too good to be true. I refused to leave, but my destiny took me out of your sight. Hasta Manana baby, but if only tomorrow came! Like a distant Quaser, you had gone far and away since then.

Our life has taken distant turns and you chose to take a different path, ensuring the winding roads would never converge again. Destiny’s child has gone back to its destiny. Now I see your profile occasionally in bharatmatrimony or shaadi.com, but I know, atleast for a couple of days, you existed beyond the virtual world of illusions.
