Early morning mist. You will have traces of ozone in the air. The sun is gradually shedding its slumber. The shore has its early morning visitors. Some fisherman busy setting up their gear, some early morning joggers, uncles, fewer aunties and the kid. The long stretch of sandy beach, so far your eyes can gaze, but it is studded with so many starfish today. Guess last night was very different, the sky wouldn’t look half as beautiful without the stars that lay benign on the sand. Some are dead, some you can make out are still alive, hundreds and thousands of star fish all around…Hey, whats the kid doing? The kid is running all around, picking up a starfish at one go, running back to the sea and throwing back to the sea. He pauses for few minutes to catch up his breath and runs again with his rescue mission. Uncle was bemused, watching him from a distance for quite a while.
Hey, what are you up to? Now stop this little game of yours, see you have soiled your shirt too. Stop this and go home kid, you cant really make a difference … you see there are thousands of starfish scattered all over the beach. Stupid child!
But uncle, what about those I threw back to the sea? Did I not make a difference in their lives??

How I wonder what you are…
Down below the deep sea blue,
Different destiny, dazzling true…….
