Remember back when we all were kids? When we'd get up in the morning ecstatic about the cartoons that would be on. Remember actually looking forward to seeing the animated films in theatres? What ever happened to those. It seems that traditional animation has died and been replaced with computer animation which basically tries to look real but fails. I miss seeing the cell animation films and marveling at how it was all done by human hands. Now it's alol done in a computer and manipulated there. i might be acting like a purist, but i preferred the old way, where it didn't try to look real and the you could admire the artwork. But i guess i should get used to it, computer animation looks like it's here to stay

While I do agree, I must say that from a monetary standpoint, computer animated films are cheaper and less labor-intensive than cell-drawn, and don't take near as much time to make either.

I never was much for cartoons, but loved Speed Racer as a kid- I learned later on in life that Speed Racer came from Japan. In Japan the series was known as "Maha Gogo" . As kids we used to ride on our bicycles in the driveway imitating the characters on Speed Racer. I somehow always ended up as Spritle LOL

What ever happened to those.

The price went up from 10 cents to $10.75.

I'm waiting until virtual sex comes online, where you can experience almost real sex or maybe even real sex, years from now! Saw a clip on the History Channel last night about sex and contraception techniques used through the centuries! The narrator says: if people can experience life like sex, some won't leave their home anymore and others will still want a human being! I like variety myself!

I agree with you. I'm all for computers to enhance traditional animation, but I want to see more traditional animation. There's not enough of it on the silver screen nowadays.
